  • @chenshi56

there are 4-5 shops in town. don't worry, they'll take you to the shops before training. some schools also have their own uniform stock, but you can go by yourself or with friends who know the different places as much as you want...

  • oh,This is the uniform of Taoism

  • damn, this is really REALLY GOOD!!!

  • that was excellent! his muscle control was superb!

  • Muy elegante e interesante , les invito a visitar mi canal , saludos

  • Fantastico!nunca habia visto ese tipo de chi kung es extraordiraiamente elegante.

  • I'm from Italy and I think his movements are extraordinary

  • Very nice!. Beautiful movements.

    A True Master.

  • I have never seen this Form before , nor this Shih-Fu(?) performing it , but it is brilliant and beautiful - I am speechless !

    Thanks for posting it .

  • jo . muy bien

    me gusta mucho .

    inclelible

  • Wonderful I have never seen this routine before. Ho gong fu!

  • Why don t you want "seeing" something that you don t have "to see"...

    meditation is required...

  • superserialcrack, are you Chinese? If so please work on your English language skills. I don't beleive I have said anything to communicate with you and your comment makes no sense...Peace.

  • Does any1 know how Shaolin was brought to the Wu-dang monastery?

  • There is a legend that says Zhang Sanfeng was once a Shaolin Monk, and in his travels, retired to Wudang Mountain to meditate. He is said to have developed his Taiji there as a way to neutralize and redirect the techniques of Shaolin boxing.

It's only one of several stories, mind you.

  • It is sad that You don t understand, This is not a question please I can t read it...

  • I like the place, the costume, the kungfu and the music, these all melding together so seamlessly!!!

  • To people with little experience (myself included) this just looks like Tai Chi sped up a little bit. I'm sure there are differences, because that was based on sheer looks of the form.

  • do you think taoist robes possibly later became japanese traditonal clothes .

  • Yep, it's correct: the Taoist robes are called Hanfu, and are the traditional Chinese clothing, that came to Japan during the Tang dynasty...

  • That's a really good observation, Zodiak. And thanks for the answer Tang. :)

I never would have thought of that.

  • It's a shame that, about 300 years ago, Han Chinese were forced to abandoned their own traditional clothes by Man people, and started to wear "Qipao" and "Magua" which are known as "traditional Chinese clothes" nowadays.

  • Those white sleeves are nice & practical because they don't get in the way,but what purpose do the other type of sleeve serve(the sleeve very wide at the bottom which could catch fire if stirring a pot of dogmeat?)

  • I guess it's to conceal the hand motions, when rolled out...

  • without words

    indeed a very complex form

does anyboydy what is its name ?

  • Wu Xing Tai Yi Quan

    "Five Elements Supreme Extremes Fist"

  • Ouch.. This sifu is very professional and indeed , too fast ... very nice BTW

  • You can see in the movements that they are beneficial for the body

  • What district of China did WuDang originate?

  • wudangshan is in hebei province.wudang gong was developed on wudangshan.i hope i could help you

  • Not sure if this is the original Tai Yi five elements. Looks different to what I first saw more than 20 years ago.

It lost the spirit of Tai Yi Five Elements (movement within a feet, defend by grappling, focus on mentally not on power.)

This Sifu have quite a big stance and the movement quite big too. More like a Chen's style Tai chi stance.

  • Many Wudang styles have different versions. All I can say is that this sifu's movemoment is perfect.

  • This Chuan is one of the WuDong's important style. Special hip-legs turning, one-leg balancing turning, support holding point moving around the feet's edge, coiled spring palm or fingers..etc shows that it is totally different and better to others chuans'style. If the master can show a little bit lighter and perform without any force in the movement like leafs falling, it would be more approaching to the spirit of Tai Yi Five Elements Chuan.

  • Did anyone else, at 2:57, get the image of a bird spreading its wings? A little corny, but that's exactly what came into my mind.

  • what a snazzy outfit!

  • Taichi is from Wudang Kung Fu

  • "Taichi is from Wudang Kung Fu" - miaoqiming

I was noticing Taichi movements in that video. I don't think that I had ever really looked into what Taichi originated from.

  • Watching Master Chen Shi-Yu perform, I can see that even he is not perfect. I frustrate myself too often for not getting my movements flowing the way I feel it should. Now, I realize there is no such thing as perfection. I can let myself go and focus on my breathing and natural body movements. Thank you.

  • I like have he can just put out his leg and bring it back in like its no big deal whal moving at a slow and stedy pace

  • very nicely done. do Wudang people do much application or push hands training? would it be possible to see a video?

  • This guy is sooooo good. I can feel alot of what I feel when I feel that one of my own movements is good.

  • Wudang Kung Fu/Tai Chi is what reminds me the most of my own style of movements. My videos that you can see on my profil now are old. There will be at least one new up soon.

  • das ist schon eine Art chinesische Eurythmie...Sehr gut!!! und da ist viele Arbeit dran...

  • excelent! groso!

  • Very very nice.

Next year, i want to learn this one.

All the best fot you Sifu

    Sanzhou from Portugal

  • Hello Sanzhou! We still remember you, a charming Portugal lady! we are especially impressed by your deep love for taoist culture! We are looking forward to your being with us again!

  • Anything to re-build Wudang wushu from the loss of the Cultural Revolution is good!

Wudang priests on paper don't have same rigorous military-style traing as Shaolin monks but they perform just as good in their kungfu. Those taoist mediation sure works!

  • I knew that place was real i knew it!

I wanna learn wu-tang but not sure were they teach it

  • Havn't you seen the answer below that he is teaching in Wudang Taoist gongfu School in Huilong Temple of Mt Wudang?

  • How cute!

  • Well... bad dress but very nice form ! This guy is very good

  • Nice... is this the Line of Shifu Zhong Yun Long?

  • Yes, he is the closest diciple of Zhong yun long! Now teaching in Wudang Taoist Gongfu School( former name Wudang Taoist Martial Arts School).

  • beautiful form
