So i would LOVE to see all you haters do the exact same thing he's doing. No drops, clean free hand, good posture, and know great performance skill. Baton twirling is more than learning how many tricks or how many batons you can learn to do.

Absolutely. Craig wasn't the best baton twirler--look for clips of champions, mostly girl gymnasts. They do flips, walkovers, etc with the baton, even while it's in the air. HOWEVER---Craig is very likable, has his own flashy style (NOT "girly" at all!), & wins us over with his talent & personality. Can't beat that! He was passed over for the finals in favor of the Kombat Breakers, but, to me, Craig was the real star! Dance acts are a dime a dozen, but there's only one Craig.

Anyway, I really like his perfomance. It's energetic, fun to watch by all means, and he also isn't full of crap like a lot of other entertainers seem to be.

I do think his stage presence and the formatting of his routine was brilliant, but honestly, a 1 or 2 spin isn't very impressive. When I was 12 I did a 4 spin.
He is amazing, he is not only a great performer - he also has a VERY likable personality. I love this kid - he is amazing! He is charming, authentic, faszinating, and he is doing a great job on stage! He rocks. I wish him all the best for his future

Like I have said before, there isn't a competition going on for the best baton dancer in the world. As far as we are concerned, you are all great. This is so entertaining and new (and before you say it's not new, how many famous baton dancers are there?) get out there and do what you love to do...

I do think his stage presence and the formatting of his routine was brilliant, but honestly, a 1 or 2 spin isn't very impressive. When I was 12 I did a 4 spin.

He is amazing, he is not only a great performer - he also has a VERY likable personality. I love this kid - he is amazing! He is charming, authentic, faszinating, and he is doing a great job on stage! He rocks. I wish him all the best for his future

my little sister who's 12 has been twirling for 4 years & she can do her 5 spin :| & he only does 1.
and he doesnt even really do anything that amazing. hes not that technical at all.
people are only in a hype over him because hes a boy twirler.

I used to twirl in the sam federation as Craig and used to speak to him and his lovely Nan quite a lot, Craig is the nicest guy you'll ever meet and he is really talented, people should lay off the personal comments and focus on his abilities!!!

vegie44: Well pardon us and ouruntrained eyes if we like him so much. At the very least, he has introduced the sport (your sport) to a wider audience and most people now have an appreciation & interest for the sport. He wasn't gunning for an olympic medal, he was just out there to do what he loves doing!

i agree with you. maybe not a total disgrace but this is the impression people are getting of baton. and there are so many people batter than him. well actually ALOT of people. the video of my solo on my profile is better than this. he doesnt have any rolls and different catches - blind, behind the back, under the leg etc.

twirlerchick, it's just what simon said: it's not all about his performance, it's about him. he has that spark that made everybody love him; and yes, you may be better than him -or not- but he has a dream and he presented on BGT because that's what he loves...if you would've presented, how knows? maybe you could've done well

The kid's top ace! An ordinary teen w/extraordinary talent. Evident his MySpace, he's been very appreciative & humbly overwhelmed by all the support (and fans!).
