I can see why JD is the way he is now. After Social Services got involved, he became his father's son. The transition started with the final game of last season when he was yelling at the other players and Coach eventually had to bench him. Then when his father basically took over the tean, that's all it took.

It's unfortunate what they have done to JD's character, although the show's focus is no longer on the Panthers. It's just odd to me to make him such a quiet kid in season 3, and then have him reappear as an ass in season 4....hmm..

Very true. As it was intended, I did feel bad for him in season 3. I like the change of direction though. It was priceless when JD and his father showed up to Matt's. I'm honestly blown away by Season 4 so far.
