@ccthera this was from several years ago. It was at a friend of mine's house. They live next to a vet clinic. Animals are being tossed out all the time over there. Most of the cats are already pregnant when they show up. Sometimes they are able to catch them so they can be fixed and find homes for them, and sometimes they can't. They do the best they can to make sure none starve. Even if that occasionally means having to give them food they had gotten for their dog.

not to be picky, but if you feed them then that makes them ALL your cats.

why not get the mother cats spayed and have the kittens trapped and taken to a no-kill shelter where they are bound to find good homes.

They are animal lovers who do not like to see even strays starve. That's pretty admirable, especially when many people would just let them fend for themselves.

It's super nice of you to help the kittens & cats out :)! Have you thought about capturing the kittens & giving them to a no kill shelter? I know fixing them is costly, but they will grow up and contribute to the pet overpopulation like mad. Many vets rent out traps.

we live on a farm and so we end up with a lot of cats, and it would be impossible to spay or neuter all of them, its sad but the building next door had old women feeding them, some grumpy old men didn't like it and poisoned them.

i also feed all the cats that come around i don't know how ppl can just not want to help them, its nice to know there are other caring ppl in the world

Ever think of maybe getting them spayed and neutered so you won't have a whole tribe of cats and kittens living as ferals under your house? That's a pretty sad life for so many cats...

we dont have a "tribe" as you call it... we live nextdoor to a vets office... we end up with a lot of drop offs because we have a few cats of our own here (and yes they are spayed) the rest half of the time come to us already pregnant... we've tried bringing them to get spayed and neutered and we've tried catching them and giving them away...

sad fact is, even if we do get them fixed and/or find them homes, within a few months we have a whole new set of cats that people have just tossed out of their cars at the vets office... It's really a losing battle... we do what we can to help them, so dont judge if you dont know the situation.

I live near a park and people seem to think it is a wild life area for kittens, because they are always dropping them off there. I have adopted 2 kittens from the park and am always seeing others who are living in the neighborhood. They should spay cats free.

yes i agree... thats why i got my kitty neutered even though he stays inside... didnt want him adding to the population lol... they're wonderful animals, but there are too many who end up as strays
