@1991Jazzalian I dont know what church you attend but, I guess they don't sing hyms & Anthems. And if tey did, it would be powerful as what Madam Clark did with this song!!! *Star Wars" ain never sounded this good nor was it the word of God in song, and it sho didn't have NO POWER!!! You need to be careful about what you say, cause God will put a "Curse" on you!!!!!
@seanguider I dont think God is going to put a curse on 1991Jazzalian. You could've corrected them a little better then that. More than likely its a kid that made that statement. The music sounds epic and theatrical and thats what probably reminds he/she of the Movie Star Wars. I dont think they meant to dishonor God or the legacy of Mattie Moss Clark in anyway. So put "The Curse" away and calm down cause its really not that serious.
twinkie is just down right crazy @ 2:24 her and karen together back in the day and even now lol just pure gold, angels , unstoppable, unbelieveable, and everything else I love this not just for their vocal skills but because on the sol they put into in this song to sing for the lord
Lol...I don't think it's boring in the beginning. That's the Mattie Clark sound! But you are right, it kicks up a notch when the girls come on in. GREAT POST! This is one of my favorite songs of this style.
Dorinda and Karen sounded SOOOOOOOOOOOO much a like back then.

Does anyone have the live version of Twinkie and Karen singing this song at one of the UNAC's from the 70's?

try COGIC videos--the choir sang it on official day in Memphis in 1976 Or 1977, I was there. They also sang "hung up for my hangups."
