@Chrisguy42O DEP are considered to be mathcore, which is in the same vein as metal. If one were to compare the two bands, DEP would definitely have more "metal" influence than C&C. C&C draw from a lot of pop and progressive as well as hard rock and maybe a dash of metal.

@Chrisguy42O marthcore.... but coheed and cambria cant really have a genre..although they are MEANT to be prog...they used to be raw punk then moved into the prog, and advanced into the metal kind of guitar but they ARE currently prog rock. any true heedian knows that =\...but in my opinion they dont have 1 genre they span a few genre...if you pay attention to some of the stuff they have metalcore in them too (21:13 when he "RAWR"'s is a pterodactyl screech which is screamo, also in others)
