@charukesh- hiiii i loved ur film....thoroughly a masterpiece..i think u can make this into a feature film...i'd love to talk to u about this..if u have any idea..it would be great to make a film as this in big screen..my mail is sivajiithegreat@gmail.com..contact me if ur interested thanks..:)
Charukesh, very much inspired with this one. music score is really good, simple concept ws told simply which should always be the case, all in all a good one. keep it coming
Hey Charukesh! Commendable job. I just have one question, What sort of lights did u use? Was it all original source of lights? Because I'm planning on doing a film with the same camera and same sort of locations. And once again congratulations on such a wonderful concept. It is hard to find people who do stuff like this. Cheers! :)
@venkatvaradhan Natural light in every scene. Except the two monologues inside the room. Where we used, 100W (4 nos.) tungsten for the "Girlfriend Monologue" scene and one CFL bulb alone for the climax scene.
extraordinary peice of wrk...... i wud nvr cal this a drag..... jus the way u took it ... i fell in lov wid it ..... and the actor was amazing.....i jus felt i wanted more frm it ... coudnt get enough......cheers......and i read da earlier comments... tht ppl wanted comedy and all tht .... balls to thm ...ppl need movies lik this .....amazing wrk boy.... and jus wanna add somethng... u sud hav had the bullet all along ... nice one
Excellent. Interesting exploration into the mind of a man who is living his last days. I liked the interludes of his vlogs, they explain the situation and context while the other shots reflect his life and activities. As everyone else has mentioned, the cinematography was awesome!
I felt several scenes were too long, and in turn made the viewer loose focus on the plot; it killed the atmosphere/emotion that the scenes were trying to convey.
@MrCharukesh i wud tel u one simple fing, aa th aydience ths days aa expectin a bi comedy which serioulsy lacks in ths film, i like ie though, wish u gud luck mate, i honestly appreciate the photography skills n th locations u chose 4 th latta r tremendously brillian, cheers mate :) gud luck :)
@vxs007 comedy?? in everything?? ha! not true my friend, why do we degrade the taste of the audience every time a "hatke" film comes out. Audience will love another film like this, since they are now exposed to the genre and the treatment. Simple. It is an acquired taste, let them acquire it.
Even when we were completing the film, we didn't think so many people would be able to relate with it. The kind of response I have got for the film is overwhelming. I understand that this particular film is not everybody's cup of tea. The script for this film was written in one sitting and without any further corrections was taken to the shoot. It was done, so that the film is very honest. One might find similarities, I agree. But, it was not intended or planned. Thank you for the great response
@akasu05 I am really brother, but let my film's space not be used for abuse. I understand you are supporting my film, thanks a lot. But everybody's is entitled to their opinion. When I put my film on a public portal, then I am opening the doors for both kinds of comments. But there is a third kind, one that just indulges in pointing out/fighting and not bringing out anything useful. thanks anyway for watching my film! Sorry for removing the above comment.
may be u had a noble intention to showcase, but the long monologues and the stripping scene are a big turn down. the only solace or the reason dat other ppl think of this 'long' short film as brilliant is bcoz of the breath-taking locations, cinematography and bgm. please dont get fooled by those comments. And the movie reminded me of 180, 127 hrs and the Motorcycle Diaries. Anyways gud effort, but I dont think i'll watch this again or recommend to others. Hope u come up wid btr stuff nxt time.
One of the best films,to come out of the Chennai short film circuit.Cinematography by Akbar Basha, is world class.Akbar, you are a versatile talent.Writing by Charu,Saranya and a certain Mr.Will Shakespeare,is most sublime.:-)Prasanna is one of my most followed editors and is certainly worth every penny.Vishal's music is most elevating both for the film and to the senses. The film feels like '127 Hours' meets 'Into the Wild',but then what is "original"? In life, you either make it or you fake it!
Instead of boring the audience with preaching like a radio show or Baba Attili chirabara, a movie should ensure that the audience is not put to sleep. A message should be under current and not a sermon.
It is your choice to delete my comments on your video. But I'm sure you've read them atleast once by now before you hit the delete button, and I got my revenge for wasting 24 minutes of my precious dinner time on this crap.
Once again sorry for the cinematographer. You deserve a mention dude.
@ravi85 Why would I delete the comment, brother? It is how you feel and you have every right to feel so. The movie wasn't made with any intention to preach. I am not even suggesting anything. It's about how I would treat my life if I were in such a situation. That's all. Anyways thanks a lot for watching and the feedback.
@MrCharukesh I like that attitude bro :). Hope you would make a better one next time. Also just wanted to tell you every movie is just the projection of the director's dream/vision. I'm only asking you to project your vision in a creative way rather than keeping it flat and insipid.
Utter crap. I can't believe I had to watch this for 24 minutes that felt like most excruciating 24 hours of my life. I felt like killing myself rather than wait to watch the protagonist die in the film. I feel sorry and my condolences to the great work of cinematographer, producer's money and the rest of the crew who supported this crap.
Everyone would have had moral science and enough meaningless preaching in their life and one doesn't need a film like this to re-emphasize.
@vchsrikanth I'm sorry, but I can't agree to that. Into The Wild isn't the same. And soul-searching vacations or journeys existed even before movies showed them. I've been doing it all my life, which is why, the film. I know how the inception of the movie happened and it is not how you said it is. The film is very personal. Anyways thank you for watching the movie and the feedback.
Ace cinematography, great locales, a fitting score and a very strong subject!
Only quibble - the protagonist seemed a tad too restrained. As in he was usually too composed for someone who is dying. Maybe squeezing in more of those moments where he "loses it" would have helped add gravity to his cause. Have noted that in subjects like these, a non linear character development arc also helps.
In all, a commendable effort. More power to you! Cheers.
Great woork... I can see you starting to reach heights... Camera work was excellent... background score was unique.. natural and bold acting by Ashok Selvan...
