If you wanna check out the full version of the girl at the end check out my page or "Christchurch Earthquake Kia Kaha". Shes my flatmate and made the video with the best intentions.
Pryonubby keep your clap trap to your self you have no idea the hell it is for so many of us just to keep on foot in front of the other at the moment. Get off your soap box.....
I think that you will find that Isaiah 54:10 is for believers - see verse 17, not for unbelievers. God guarantees His kingdom to those that repent of their sins and hell to those who reject His mercy extended to them through Jesus.
God had nothing to do with this it was an act of nature, savage and harsh stop blaming and start acting. So many people have lost loved ones many of whom will never return to them nor be given back to them. My birthplace, and my home town you will live on in my mind forever...
Our city may be broken but we will recover, we will rise from the rubble, we will again cherish our poor broken cathedral, we will again become a wondefull city to live in, we will restore our pride, we are proud as a community, we are greatful to the suportt the world has given us. We are many, we are one.
my birthplace, my hometown..... we have been through so much together in the last 6months my thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones and/or their homes. kia kaha to you all
MrHanmead, Shame on you. The people of Christchurch are hurting. We all need to show compassion and love for them, including you. They have lost so much - their loved ones, homes etc. What have you lost?
I hope this verse will give some comfort to those of you in ChCh who read this Isaiah 54:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my
unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed says the Lord who has compassion on you.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. God takes thousands of lives everyday, in many different ways; it is His right seeing as He gave it to us anyway. He rules everything and owes us nothing. We are all sinners and deserve death anyway. It is only by His grace we are alive and unless we turn from our sins and accept the salvation in Jesus Christ surely we will end up in hell.
Here's a dare for you.... how about standing in front of the fallen Christchurch cathedral and spout that crap to the families who lost loved ones.... hey here's an even better idea... stand in front of ALL those other churches as well... there sure is a lot to choose from
Stuff happens on this planet... all within God's greater plan. Yes, he is a loving God. Everyone must leave this planet some time. Remember the thousands who died on the other side of the planet this same day, at the hands of an Arab dictator....I am blessed by the smiles, hugs and shouts of triumph and gratefulness by so many New Zealanders in the middle of a bad shaking. Attitude...how you face your trials. Agreed... God Defend New Zealand.
@ASeedSower234.... bloody hard to believe in a god when people are lying dead under our buildings :( how does a "loving god" do something like this. our city is broken
@ChickInSteelcaps Im sorry m8 God did not do this... my brother was in the CBD when it happend i thank God that he is safe. You are just looking for someone to blame. In your perfect world we would be running around with gods immunity bubbles on with no consequences to actions... it just doesn't work like that. God is loving thats why your on this earth and alive in the first place.. be thankful for that first off please.
@ChickInSteelcaps This Life is just the beta test. New Jerusalem, which is mentioned in the last two chapters of the Bible will be built someday. Give God time to perfect things. He's still working on many things & we all are works in progress & we fulfill His works for we are His Body. (1 Corinthians 12:27). Have patience! He isn't finished yet. No one is dead permanently. For one thing Time-Space circles. It is Science that is building that New Jerusalem & giving Christ His Kingdom.
@ChickInSteelcaps God doesn't do this... nature does... In the same way that man is responsoble for his own actions. Not God. Why do people blame God for things beyond his control? Nature is nature just as free will is free will... Gods only fault in this is he created nature to be balanced and gave man free will.
The message from the young girl at the end was just beautiful.

This just brings tears to your eyes. So so sad. Poor people.
And the image of Donna Manning's kids at 1:15 just makes me want to bawl.
Poor poor kids.
