  • fake and gay

  • DMG or GTFO

  • awsome XD

  • yea if you actually want to hear it you still have to run it through real speakers

  • What song is this?

  • Unreal Superhero #1

  • where did u get the samples?

  • So cute :D

  • what do you have plugged into your ds to play this?

  • you need a flash cartridge, and the software from the official website of nitrotracker.

you put it on your ds and you can use it :)

    I recommend having moonshell too

  • yeah moon shell works the best i say for soft ware like this

  • Please, stop with chiptune = 8bit. One of the major plateform ever for chiptune creation is Amiga and then the trackers developed on PC. Chiptune was there before LSDJ. Title is "composing chiptune", not "composing 8 bit", and THIS IS true chiptune.

    And Radix is a god ! Maybe Portablenews = Radix ? :p

  • You didn't create this song. You just imported it.

This is actually Unreal Superhero #1

  • @spikensbror unreeeal superhero 2&3 were made by kenet&rez!

Unreal SuperHero 3 IS THE BEST MODULE EVER MADE!

  • dude this is great!

if you ever want this on a compilation CD contact me. I'm dead serious.

  • I love this, it's awesome

  • HOLY CRAP AN AMIGA MOUSE PAD..kickASS

  • Humm... That means I could put MilkyTracker on a DS? :o

  • No, this is nitrotracker, but more or less the same thing :)

  • could you not download this on the new DSi?

  • THIS....IS.....AWSOME!

  • This is one of the best Nitrotracker compositions I've come upon on YouTube. :9

  • It's not really a game, it's NitroTracker on a Flashcart (Example: R4DS).

  • wow, thats wicked!

  • What program is that and what tune is that?

  • 1. NitroTracker DS

    2. dunno

  • what game is dat

  • its kinda good.. but its not pure 8bit

  • Comment removed

  • whoahoawhoa

I was just about to buy a gameboy

    just for chiptune;D

I never considered using a ds

    thanx;)

  • zomgzomgzomgzomgzomgzomg thanlyuthankyouthankyouthankyou;) I never knew you could make chiptune on ds;D I thought you could only do it on gameboy so I was just about to go buy oneX) you saved me hella time thanx;)

  • Is there a rom for this? It looks easier to use than lsdj. Sounds ok but not really chiptune.

  • the DS is not an 8bit device+ hence not really chiptune.

  • WANTWANTWANT

  • XD So do I...

  • well, strictly speaking chiptunes are songs made for and played by some soundchip like the famous SID, but the term "chiptune" is also widely used for tracker modules (.xm, .mod, .it and so on) with a very little file size.

  • it isn't even yours.. it's unreal superhero by radix.. it's not a chiptune. but a (fasttracker) module.

  • jj2fawful - even if it isn't his, it's still a good track.

  • @jj2FawFuL I knew I'd heard it before! :) It's still a chiptune though.

  • @jj2FawFuL He never said it was his.

  • thats not a chiptune

  • Please - Comment je fais pour acheter cette cassette de jeu ?????

    Thank you very much

  • Comment je fais pour acheter cette cassette jeu ?????

    Thank you

  • I don't think you can buy this "game" anywhere. Just get a Flash kit for the DS (or GBA) and load it with a ROM that can compose/play tracker modules.

  • haha...how cool is that? Finally a good use for the ds :D

  • Can you teach me how to do that? LOL! Is there a longer version of this song anywhere? I'd love to hear more.

  • hey arlen, i see your comment on this video, but you dont need to do this now, because you have LSDJ. and by the way, we should start up that collab album again in summor 09.

    that would be fun eh?

  • what samples did you use? just straight ahead waves or did you edit the voice?

  • This is amazing

  • This song is so aweseome dude! I have known about it for a while and I just thought about it a little bit ago and had to come comment. What samples did you use for it? The song reminds me of a badass Sonic game for some reason. Is the song an original?

  • sorry, I just read what song it was on a past comment :x

  • What set of samples are you using?

  • dude what is that program called because i am new to chiptune and really wanna learn how to make my own

  • nitro tracker

  • Fuck yeah, Nitrotracker.

  • What is that song?! Someone who knows, please give info :3

  • i know it... its from a keygen but i forgot what it was....

  • ahh, i found it. the song is called "unreal superhero" and it is the song in the "NASCAR Sim Racing" keygen. message me if you want a link.

    ps its REALLY short song.

  • lol keygens

i loved those chiptunes from razor and 1911 and some others haha

  • In addition to it being called Unreal Superhero as mentioned below, it's also done by Radix, as far as I'm concerned a chiptune god! :D

  • I love trackers. It just makes so much sense to me. I need to get me a rom card for my DSlite so I can make music on the fly. I started with trackers about 6 months ago with Renoise and havent looked back since. Great job.

  • ;) if you want the best tracker out there go for buying a Gameboy cart of LSDJ and grab an old Gameboy! They have the best sound.

  • Wow! Where did you get that? Or did you make it? Either way i would like to have a copy of this.

  • just google "nitrotracker" and download it

  • lol, i should have been more specific. I meant the song. I'd like to have a copy of this song.

  • oh mmmkay then

  • Still looking for it?

  • Yes, do have it? It would be really nice if you could PM me with it.

  • Anyone got a definition of chiptunes? I've just heard about it and decided to research on it but its hard lol

  • jus wiki search 8-bit or chiptune

  • Also - hate to break it to you guys but the SNES is not generally a chiptune platform. It is possible to write chips on it but the only song from a popular game that I can recall even having part chiptune in it was the very beginning part of the Giygas battle from Earthbound. Mario paint songs are not chiptunes. Go listen to more radix!

  • Snes is chiptune - I guess you meant DS Lite?

  • No, it's not. SNES is capable of chiptunes but is not used as such. You cannot make the statement "all SNES songs are chiptunes" because that is absolutely false. What you hear in the video here is a chiptune. What you hear in Star Fox on the SNES is not. What you hear on the NES is a chiptune by definition due to the instrument samples involved (very basic waveforms). What you hear in Super Street Fighter II on the SNES is not a chiptune.

  • Im in the wrong, sorry about that Artuir82, you are completely right. Had star fox in fact (The pinnacle of 3D graphics :) )

I've had that many consoles I kind of lose track of whats what.

Did you give me the poor comment [/cry] ?

  • I realised that DS lite is better but does it break easily?

    ((Please reply back people!

  • Ds lite wont break that fast i think

Nintendo is safety first, and on the wii remotes you have a little plastic around it (In europe) So i think they make the nintendo ds lite safe aswell

  • its like renoise for ds jeese!

  • FT2 (i guess milky/skale tracker is where it's at today) is where it's at

  • Bah, impulse tracker for life.

  • No offense dude, but this is not an 8 bit chiptune*most chiptunes are 8 bit*. But for some reason, this sounds SOOOOOOO goddamn good ^^ I Love It, and now i want a Nintendo DS ^^

  • i don't mean to piss you off with this question, but what defines a chiptune? (im just curious, and you made me so...)

  • chip music, is music written in sound formats where all the sounds are synthesized in realtime by a computer or video game console sound chip, instead of using sample-based synthesis. The "golden age" of chiptunes was the mid 1980s to early 1990s, when such sound chips were the most common method for creating music on computers

  • This is wrong. A SNES song would still be considered a chiptune.

  • i got that from Wikipedia :P and yes, SNES is one of the best consoles for chiptunes, though NES and Amiga are good too ^^

  • C64 is the best one B)

  • Actuallym chiptune was also a common name for (Eg Amiga) MODs with sampled chip sounds. Doing music with simple waveforms using an oldschool-style music tracker definitively qualifies as chiptune in my world.

The term chiptune was furthermore mostly used not to describe the works of game companies but the works of scene musicians.

Also: In a way, we're right now experiencing a second wave of chiptune, so now is just as much a golden era for chiptune.

  • but to further this conversation, many modern synths, trackers, and software are built with effect platform, modeling the simple waveforms and modded sound chips.

    TECHNOLOGY is great(:

  • chiptune has evolved. it isn't 8bit anymore, as with most artists using gameboys with programs like LSDJ it is impossible to produce an 8bit sound as gameboys can only produce 4bit music.

the genre is changing and I think it's a good thing. It's an experimental genre and that's what all chip artists should be doing with it.

  • "chiptunes" have been more than 8-bit since the earliest days of tracking. radix didn't adhere to an 8-bit limitation in any of his stuff. Everything he wrote was at least 8 channels and had higher volume change resolution than any 8-bit system that I know of.

  • lol that's so awesome

  • The song is by Radix and is called Unreal Superhero. You can find it on this page of his work. If you google "Radix Unreal Superhero" and choose the top link you can find it on this page but when you extract it you will have to add the .xm file extension (by typing it in) as the site hasn't done this for some reason :S

  • The files usually are .xm like most chiptunes :) Great song mate :)

  • wow! nice song you got thar!

  • Source please.

  • NitroTracker

  • Thanks.

  • yes its cool but you have to store a lot of wav file on your card...so its not so cool(use lsdj or nanoloop, better chiptune)

  • dood that actually sounded cool i like it

  • i like the sounds though ^^

  • It's not a chiptune.

  • could you link it to the pc or mac to make it a chiptune and work it on visual gameboy?

  • dude, chiptunes arent all 8bit, theyre 4bit, 8bit, 16bit - it depends what system you build them on, and what format you make them in.

This is midi, not chiptune, but the sound is a close representation.

  • its not sending midi out in this case though, and is being created entirely by the DS

  • this isnt relli chiptune though is it

    not 8 bit.

    not bad tho

  • It's chiptune.

  • is that your song or is it one of the demos from nitro tracker?

  • Hey...i've looked through comment's but i haven't found it on here, call me dumb and abuse me if you will :(

but what is this? and where can i get it?

Fed up of nanoloop..lsdj....well i don't know but this looks preitty good

  • 'Tis Nitrotracker !!

  • LOl i know it's name.

    But thats all i know.

if i type it in on google can i get it?

  • ...Naturally.

  • hey man! this is unreal super hero!!! the radix version! hell what a cool song.

  • Your right there my friend I have the mod of this cool song.

  • cool

  • OMG (rolls eyes) its called nitro tracker look it up :P

  • SICK!

  • I want more

  • WOW! 5 stars WOOO!

  • what is that game called?

  • It's not a game. look at

    stevenup7002's post

  • I like this song, I found the song file, but it's an .xm file, which i can't figure out how to play. Does anyone have an mp3 of this song?

  • Use winamp!

  • Winamp has a very buggy .xm replay routine. You should use XMPlay or something similar.

  • I'm pretty sure you can play .xm files in VLC Media Player. Otherwise, you can play it in MilkyTracker.

  • and with milkytracker you can export as .wav:P

  • Its not hardware music, its called a module. A module is like a MIDI file, it reads notes from a file and then plays them back through the MIDI instruments on the sound card, a MOD is the exact same, except that instead of hardware instruments, you need to define your own samples to play.

  • where did you get the instrument's sound for that? is it possible to like, use instruments from a midi file or something? and how do i convert finished songs to mp3s or something?

  • well now i have to get one.

  • how do you get sounds onto nitro tracker? can you make like... a tutorial or somthing?

  • Radix- unreal superhero? Wish somebody'd put it up on youtube cause every time i look for radix it gives me some dumb rap group

  • thats so cool.

  • That's Radix - Unreal Superhero

  • This homebrew is "Nitro Tracker". You can download it from ://nitrotracker.tobw(DOT)net/

I put it in my SuperCard DS (one) and i can create tracks but i can't listen it! >.<

    Can you help me?

    Thx

  • how do you get it to play for so long?

  • You can't buy it.

It's homebrew, and I'm pretty sure you can download it for free! :D

  • You can get a tracker to PSP too

  • yeah, but it rocks to manipulate by hand

  • DS with the 4 gigaBYTE dsxtreme card basically sealed PSP's fate when I had 200 bucks to blow. When I found out you can watch movies and mp3's as well as write music, well you know which one I choose. The tracker for PSP blows..

  • so cool! i never knew its possible and the music is grrreat

  • nice amiga mouse pad...

    oh and cool tracker!

  • That's awesome

  • Cool, didn't know one could use trackers on that thing... that's cool, is like returning to the good old days.

  • nice tune!!

  • its free, lol

  • OMFG im buying one

  • Oh, it's nitrotracker.

  • Hey, I want that tracker on my DS ! Please give us some infos.

  • Which software is that?

  • thats Radix - unreal superhero ...http://www.chip-on.com/tune.php?id=216

  • Ive heard that song before, where's it from?

  • how long did it take you to make that tune?
