people couldnt even believe what they saw.that happens sometimes in boxing.when something unreal just happens people dont even know what just happened after they gather there thoughts.Just like the juan marquez vs pacquiao 3 fight.people still cant believe what they saw
To most people this is probably old news and a tired controversy, but I just barely got into boxing a couple months ago and have been going through all of Ali's and all of Tyson's fights, now moving on to S.R. Robinson, Louis, Marciano, and Leonard. One of the greatest sports ever! More entertaining and exciting than football, basketball, baseball, basically any other sport.
@breastmilkgaysexs Ultimate fighting is explosive, but 3 rounds does not a fight make. Grappling, wrestling, kicking, clawing, punching, it is more a brawl. Now put to heavyweights like Ali/Frazier or Ali/Foreman in a ring, round after round after..punching, taking hits, 8,10..15 rounds that's what boxing is all about.
@tubengagements Actually, going into a ring for 10,12, 15 rounds & only punching is a sport. Getting into a cage where almost anything goes is a fight. Fights are ugly affairs.Of all the street fights I've been in few have been totally fought on the feet. I do train MMA so I have been the one taking people down mostly, but it works for other people also. MMA is to find the best fighter in the world, which it does. Boxing finds the best boxer(look at Muhammad Ali vs Antonio Inoki)
@breastmilkgaysexs You should try MMA/UFC. It's boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, sambo, karate, etc etc all in one. Boxing will show you who the best boxer is, MMA the best fighter. Any boxer that has ever fought an MMA fighter has been beaten to my knowledge with probably a couple exceptions. Even Ali couldn't beat Antonio Inoki, and while the fight was declared a draw most say it ruined Ali for life because Inoki destroyed his legs.
@jrhody1 you cannot compare ali or a traditional boxer to an mma fighter & say they'd beat ali. if they were to enter a boxing ring with ali in his prime & only boxed they'd lose in a matter of rounds. just as ali would lose if suddenly he was wrestling & kick boxing.
they are opposite sports that only have one on one competition as the common denominator. a sprinter & long distance runner compete in the same sport but most sprinters couldn't run a marathon
@tubengagements You kinda missed my point. Most MMA fighters would lose to a boxer in a boxing ring.My point was that boxing is a sport.MMA is a fight. It started as basically no rules, and only enough rules were added later to keep it from dying. I was responding to you calling MMA a brawl, and saying yes that is basically what it is, although now a well organized brawl. I am saying if you wanna know how to win a fight in the streets, learn MMA. Boxing will win some, till someone takes you down
Thanks for the upload. After watching the film and commentary, I am totally convinced that that was indeed a decent punch that landed just right. It reminds me of Ali vs. Foreman with Ali's final punch (right hand) that followed his left and ultimately caused the knockout.
@breastmilkgaysexs In '64 Liston took Ali for granted, much like Ali did Spinks decades later. Prior to the rematch Liston trained hard, but the fight was delayed because they feared Ali might be a targeted after Malcom X was killed. It's also why the fight was held at a remote arena in Maine. Liston again stopped training, continued drinking as he always did and fell fast because of it. Had the fight not been stopped, it's anyone's guess, but Liston was simply not in the best of shape (again).
