Note to people who bitch about cover songs/albums: Stop it. These songs introduce people to artists they might normally have never heard of. I was 17 when this album came out and I loved it; I was blown away when I realized that they were covers. I was introduced to the New York Dolls, Nazareth, UK Subs, Iggy Pop, Danzig/The Misfits and a whole new world of music. Do the songs on The Spaghetti Incident hold up to the originals? Hell no. They don't have to, they've done what they needed to do.

Cover albums of a band's inspirations are kinda cool and a nice sentiment. That being said: GNR shouldn't have done this track and The Misfits shouldn't have let them. Double blame placed here. Until the Spaghetti Incident, all the covers GnR were just as good if not way better than the originals.  Knockin On Heavens Door, Live and Let Die, Mama Kin, and Whole Lotta Rosie are all so freaking awesome. I feel like the only true good cover on this album is Since I Don't Have You. The Misfits version is definitely way better. A lot of these covers are uninspired.

Covers can also be totally horrid, like Lenny Kravitz' cover of American Woman, prob the absolute worst I've heard & the abs worst job Lenny could've done w/that song. Also, you don't want to release a reg studio album w/too many on it, like Van Halen did w/Diver Down. Something like this album is just find b/c ALL the tracks were covered. Another great example would be Garage Days Re-Revisted by Metallica.
