  • is digging in the crates partly a reference to the old practice of trawling music shop basement bins for the odd useable sample. As well as a reference to dealing with death?

  • @britflik Its the 1st reference. Not really the 2nd, its not the name of the song, DITC is the name of the 'supergroup'.

  • lord finnesse moneyy

  • This is one of my favorite songs period. I have really cried while listening to this song. I love how real Hip Hop brings out some type emotion. R.I.P Big L, Freaky Ty, Jam Master Jay, Scott LaRock, the list is too long GONE...

not that bullshit bubblegum beats that your hear 2day like jamie foxx

    FUCK THE MAINSTREAM

this reminds me of my early years in new york in the projects in the summer breeze of the afternoon sunset having a barbeque cookout wit the fam, chillin wit my girls, friends an da family playing b-ball eating some beef steak, chilling grooving and rapping i would have never though that would change in ny....i was only 15 in 1989 good ol' times never forgotten

  • this ain't no r&b beat....but yeah this kills 100% of the bullshit they play on the radio...

  • R.I.P hip hop

  • Real hip hop isn't dead, it just went underground

  • aaahh it's so good..the motherfucking beat is one of the best ever

  • i love my years of growin up on hiphop

1980 at age 8 - SUGAR HILL first album "RAPPERS DELIGHT"

1984 at age 12 - THE PEAK OF THE BREAKIN ERA & RUN-DMC arrived

    1988 at age 17 - RAKIM, KOOL G.RAP, KANE, & KRS-1 was out

    1993 at age 21 - WUTANG arrived

1995 at age 24 - EAST & WEST COAST RAP was at its peak, & the NEWYORK club seen was HOT

    2003 at age 31 - G-UNIT & EMENEM was on FIRE

but now in 2008 at age 37, HIPHOP IS DEAD, but im fortunate to be young in its best years :)

  • damn nigga..U old as fossils!!!

  • i know shorty,

you only have 2 choices in life,

    1) either you can get old,

    2) or die young,

    R.I.P. -- TUPAC

    1971 - 1996 : (

  • hope thats not an insult.

  • word...I can def relate...from '85 to now...legendary hip-hop will continue to inspire and enrich our lives...at 36 I still NEED this music just as much now, as I did way back then.

  • I'm 21...roughly 17 yrs behind u...but doesn't matter. I listen to all that old shit, from the 80s, straight to 2009 underground Hip Hop. I don't fuck with the mainstream shit at all. It's disgusting. Much respect to the older heads man. yall helped keep Hip Hop alive by supporting it and rooting for it. Much respect indeed. Peace

  • Yeah! I wish they still made shit like this!

  • rip L

  • '' Know who's the best,if it ain't Fat Joe then it must be Lord Finesse! ''
