  • Or a better question might be why did it keep poping and exploding even AFTER the plug was pulled?

  • Why didn't they unplug it immediately at the first sign of smoke coming out?

  • i did that with my psu nothing happened, just a little spark!

  • wtf???? thats a vcr not a computer!!!!!!

  • Actually, it's a vcr stuffed with firecrackers.

  • hahaha that's gotta be all the resistors and capacitors popping lol

  • WTF???

  • its an xbox elite hahahahahahaah

  • I've seen this video. In the year 2000 my brother brought a CD with funny videos and there was this one and the cartoon where a boy tries to poop and explodes his head:D

  • I did the same thing with my computer today but it didn't explode, the PSU just flashed and that was it. Did the fuse save my computer?

  • it is a taperecorder not a computer xD

  • hahahhahahahahahahhahahahahhahaha wicked

  • check unsere haus klingel vs 230v xD

  • Did it play any videos after that

  • i did that once while the PC was on, i was a child and set the thing to 300 volts, and the power supply exploded :S

  • FIAL! xD

  • lol

  • losers america has an other voltage LOLZ america has 115 and europe 230 V

  • @markhardcore321 Pretty sure their lines suppy 20A though were as ours only do 10. Same wattage in the end. Ours has more push theirs does more work load.

  • wtf? my PSU is 230v !

  • i was getting annoyed at one of the school computers and i was going to switch it to 115v instead of 240v but the teacher came along just as i was going to do it.

  • now that's a good yard foger. (a bit smelly though)

  • That's a VCR

  • This owns :P

  • At the very end it sounded like he said rape.

  • What a cool prank!

  • hahaha did you see that guy yank that power cord out. It was like starting a lawn mower

  • Is your brother called TIM TAYLOR? Ho HO HOOO! lol

  • I think he was setup..

At the end, the guy behind him smiles.

  • What would happen if I switch my computer to 230V, but plug it to 240V power coming from the wall. I am taking a computer from Canada to Australia.

  • it will be fine. 220v/230v/240v is all pretty much the same thing.

u will need a new cord though

  • Thanks bobknobler. Your reply is a sigh of relief. I have a TV, PC monitors and PCs that I am shipping to Australia from Canada and they all are 200+V, but not quite 240V. Got the plugs for Australia too!!! Looking forward to my move!!!

  • it might be that it is actually the same but just described in a different way.

to supply 230 volts AC, it actually goes to 240 volts but the average in 230.

  • i did this at school once, from 220V to 12V on the psu when it was on. BAM!

  • i done this today @ college the computer was off but plugged in i set the power to 115v and boom scared the shit out of me

  • I know this video. It IS a VCR!

  • This, this is a classic. It's a VCR, they they have rigged as a joke in some way.

  • And since when do VCR's have a power switch on the back??? Its a server!

  • No, it is a VCR. And it was rigged in some way other than the wrong voltage.

  • VCR's don't have power switches on the back and you can't change the voltage of them...It's a sever!

  • Did they have it hooked up to a string of firecrackers? O.o

  • The PSU usually just cuts out; I change the voltage on school computers all the time and watch as teachers plug them in.

It would be awesome if this happens though xD

  • that dosent happen and its a faulty vcr

  • cocots...thats a VCR not a PC!

But hes right, thats maybe 115V PSU plugged to 230V socket...

  • that a vcr it old

  • when u put a 240V supply into a 230V PSU that is set to 115V, it will just blow the fuse inside. You will see a flash and hear a crackle but that will be it. This doesn't look like a PC anyway...

  • what happons other way round?

115v going in when set for 230?

  • nothing happen

  • I thought it will blow, as there is too much amps

  • I think the power supply just doesn't work and won't work until the setting is corrected.

  • oh, wot happens if u change the setting while the computer is on?

  • If it's 220V into a 115V supply: The voltage regulators in the power supply will sustain the extra supplied voltage from the other components, but the power supply will die pretty quickly as the components will get too much current. The computer will switch off but will probably be unharmed.

If it's 115V into a supply at 220V, then the supply will just switch off. Probably.

  • oh right.

  • Same, this is bullshit, i done that to my computer, and it made a massive bang and a bit of smoke came out.

  • BULSHIT, in my school i burned SO many PCs by changing the V on the PSU from 230, all that happen is a little smoke and it shuts down, on this video they putted Thermite or feul inside or something..was TOO violent

  • WOW! that was a waste of time, do a computer like you said not a VCR!

  • It`s still explode when he plug it out !!!

  • hahahaha

  • Yeah this is definitly not a PC being plugged into the wrong voltage, I have seen computers be turned on (mainly by idiots) with the power switch on 115. All that happens is a bang, sparks and a small wisp of smoke from the power supply, that is all. It could however be real in that it's a dodgy computer and arced out due to too much current, although not likely.

  • lol my power supply did same to me i had a switch on 230v and i dumb shit changed to 115v xD

  • haha! noobs!

  • I did this when i was 7 years old =)

  • Reminds me of the time I was in a hotel in London and I plugged in my American clothes iron and I forgot to use my power converter. POW!

  • One of my friends did that to a school computer. It exploded all over the wall to a stunned physics group.

It goes without saying that he got a round of applause.

    It trips 10Amp circuit breakers...

  • meat grinder you know everything there ever was to know in the world i see so why medel in the filth and scum of the lower class youtube commenting society your majesty?

  • I don't claim to know everything, but from EXPERIENCE I know that a computer plugged into 240 with the switch on 120 will NOT explode in the manner shown in the video.

You can keep your dumb comments to yourself.

  • maybe someone should give you a good spanking and put you in your place kid.

dont even bother replying and retaliating i dont wanna hear a buncha crap.

  • This is a fake. The (whatever it was) would not have continued sparking after unplugging. It's not capacitors because those don't spark when they explode, they just smoke and (sometimes) go boom. Anyone that doubts this, I'm an EE so don't even bother trying to tell me it's real, cause it's not.

He probably tossed some firecrackers in there.

  • it is a old vcr being repaired when it got power the capaciters exploded and contunued

  • This is obviously the work of one of those losers playing a trick on the other by switching the PSU switch from 115 to 224volts, computers tend to explode like that when it happens.. never turn that switch unless you know what you're doing.. it's in the back of your comp..

  • 230 volts must of been too much for that computer

  • lol

  • ugh that smell are foul stink...

  • its VCR

  • lol firecrackers

  • ha a bunch of losers who think they can fix things

  • that couldnt have been a good idea!

the psu probably sucken anyway :D

    good job

  • Nem azt mondja hogy "tessék, itt van" ?????

  • Szerintem inkább "let's take this one".

  • Ja tényleg! :-)

  • I thought it was a CD-player or something... But yeah, it was a 115 Volts device on 230 Volts. Did that to a computer PSU once, gave quite a bang I can tell you!
