@madhura94 ok thanks as when i was a child i was brought up by pakistan people,and i remember dal i loved it even the next day was beautyful,see even the resturants cant or wont cook it like that,just cant remember what dal to use it was yellow .all i can remember,oh and do you have the recipe for sag iloved that to thanks

Yes, you can try with Chana dal as well. But Dal Tadka tastes good with Toor Dal.
