most work shops don`t do major auto trans repairs , unless its a specialist auto trans shop, its too time consuming and you need special tools and a clean room. what you will find is when its time to replace a worn out auto you will just get a change over, this is the way its done most of the time, and i`m sure if you had a look in a workshop manual you would find the transmission fill capacity in about 1 minute and ford would have much better service manuals.
whan i got my ba falcons turbo reaplaced due to oil supply pipe being bloked the mechanic said that with the fg falcons its gunna cost whan its time to replace the transsmission oil becouse no one nos how much oil to put back into tham. ford dont even no apparantly. ford send it to the compuny that manunfacture the boxes for tham to be serviced. even if somthing gos bang in your fg falcons gearbox you still cant get tham fixed by your local mechanic or ford dealer they have to be sent away.
I remember when i went for a test drive in one of these, that afternoon sing the paper work for a new xr6 turbo lol

nah i wish but he just wanted to see what the xr6s gearbox was like but they only had a xr6 turbo ute so we just took that.
