i think it's more of a sad/lame moment. it was so crappy that they played out Scott Hall's alcoholism as a gimmick. And by this time in his career, the alcoholism was really showing in his performances. He was so boring to watch at that point, that all they could do to make him interesting was turn his f'n drinking into a joke. But, coulda been worse. He coulda held a snake between his legs like his dick and then taken a nap during the match.

Though I think the biggest problem here is that WCW should have recognized Hall's problem and refused to work with the angle - whether it was Scott's idea or not. This would be similar to a company (WWE or TNA) just letting Jeff Hardy light a joint or Steiner pull out a needle in the middle of the match.

He’s cool. He’s over. Twice as many people watched him in the 90's then they do John Cena today.

Though I think the biggest problem here is that WCW should have recognized Hall's problem and refused to work with the angle - whether it was Scott's idea or not. This would be similar to a company (WWE or TNA) just letting Jeff Hardy light a joint or Steiner pull out a needle in the middle of the match.

He revolutionized wrestling, a catalyst as a performer & as a backstage tactician. Fantastic worker, especially for his size. Made good money for a long time. Fans love him. They always remember him. He’s cool. He’s over. Twice as many people watched him in the 90's then they do John Cena today.

Owen Hart was as over as Bret was in 1994, Curt Henning was over in NWA and in his early WWF days, Edge/HHH/Orton it isnt even close to be honest. I loved Hall, but there is no was in hell you can say he is as over as a 10 time WWE champ, a 13 time WWE champ, or the top guy in the company who has held at least 6 WWE titles. Hall is good, but not Orton or HHH good

Hall was world class in the ring and one of the smoothest operators in the biz.
He has credit for the first ladder match in wwf, the kliq, nWo..which started DX, and for helping put wcw over wwf.
Scott Hall never had a bad match until his hair went grey and his weight went over kevin nashs.
Hall never won a world title outside of AWA but he has held almost every other title in wcw & wwe
