It's been a long time since I've played this on my guitar, but I think if you capo up to the 7th fret and play it in the key of G, it'll sound like the carole kings version on the piano. Which will really help you sing this song, because you can get all of the bass runs in this track, which to me is the key element. Nice try.

I just check out other people's covers and no one plays it like I did. I'm a huge carole king fan and playing it in the key of D in first position just sounds way too low for the song. Plus, I'm a fingerpicker, so I like to make my guitar sound like her piano. So here's the tab from the top of my head, please excuse any mistakes, it's been a long time!

Thats pretty much the song. If you know carole kings songs then you'll have to agree that is how it should be played. Watch james taylor do carole king songs and you'll see it's always played in the key of G with a capo somewhere up the neck. Try this song again like this, you have a very nice voice.
