  • WINWOOD CAPALDI, WOOD, 1967-My Friend Mike brings this album by: and Rock History, takes a Turn.

  • My Dad used to say, now son, go play in the Traffic....

  • Great song....though BS & T did a good tribute to it....

  • I prefer this to BS&T's cover. CW's flute, SW's organ and lead vocal, the way the song explodes out of nowhere behind JC's drums. BS&T starting going downhill, IMHO opinion, when they fired their founder, Al Kooper, after the first album and got the competent but dull, AM-radio-friendly David Clayton Thomas to replace him. Dumb move; may have increased commercial sales, but made BS&T a pop band. Sorry if this sounds snobbish. Thanks for posting this; one of my favorites by Traffic.

  • drop a tab and let it flow..

  • I'm sorry, but the Blood, Sweat And Tears version stands out. I like their arrangement better, more jazzy.

  • 2:16 just like a muschroom trip

  • @thehockeybear87 i agree....or is coloured rain a bit better? you will find the answer around the mulberry bush.

  • Thanks for posting a seldom-heard , original version of this song ! Blood , Sweat & Tears did a version of this song on their premiere 1969 album .

  • my aunt gave me a vinyl copy of this album when I was 15 or 16. I really liked this track the best. That and "no face, no name, no number."

  • Then, I think it was Blood , Sweat, and Terars that did "Smiling Faces"...around 1974 or so??...

  • Damn it, why did I have to be born 27 years after this came out?
