  • your very knowledgable ..respect!

  • it's called effloresence it usally leaves a white salty coloury texture and you'll have to wash it off with acid or sandblast it off.

  • @cndbrn791 - it depends on the environment and the brick. My intent was to draw attention to its cause so if it did matter to a person, they would be better enabled to avoid it. Sand blasting / pressure washing can ruin a "finished", glazed, surface treated brick. It is a bugger to get off once it gets started. And sometimes, incorrect storage can void a brick's warrenty.

A blooming wall on a building is unattractive to me, a bbq pit, sidewalk, mailbox maybe not so much.

  • a dont really care what ye sayin either and a dont care either about the whole issue just leave them lyin in the mud

  • fasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • i don't lay bricks, but this was fun to watch for some reason

  • I don't know if what I do is laying bricks or not but I do have a house and at the time, figured maybe, just maybe, something may help someone building a mailbox, BBQ or even having a residential or commercial property being built.

  • Thanks. Just trying to help.
