Very interesting discussion. I'm surprised that food stamps are not more strictly regulated when other programs like WIC are so restrictive. Also, I too feel that income disparity is a huge factor in what we buy & consume. It's going to the grocer & finding out that a pound of tomatoes costs the same as one of chicken, if not more. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
