I must thank you for this brief overview, I refer to it often and my readers/viewers love the simplicity and straight forward approach. Thank you again.
@RawHealingPatch cont'd... we dont always need the intensity of fish oil. nature is smart and has designed a system in flax, hemp, and more to allow the body to convert what it needs. but with people who are using omega 3 for therapeutic use, need quick results, or if they have a compromised liver, i recommend fish oil :) food is always the best option, but if not available or therapeutic enough, thats when we should look at supplements. thanks :)
As I understand it, we have changed the proportion of Omega 3 to 6 to 9 in our western diets in recent years, to skew the proportion far too heavily in favour of 6 and 9. What we need is Omega 3 rich in EPA and DHA strands as these are the fish based ones absorbed easily by the body. Other variants are plant based, not easily absorbed, cheaper and mainly fortified into products for marketing reasons.
@TheDistilledMan @TheDistilledMan yes, we need more omega 3's for sure, but most people are fine taking them in the form of raw veggies like flax and hemp seed, etc... the body turns the fatty acids into dha/epa as needed, while fish oil is already epa/dha and there is no "off" button with it.
For me everything hinges on sleep. I spent over 20 years on a job where I was on either 24 hr. call or working swing shift, my body never was able to adjust to any rythem. I was scatter brained and screwed up as Hogan's goat. Once I got away from that and started sleeping at night things got better, mentally and physically. I took melatonin at bed time for a couple weeks to help get my eternal clock reset, I've slept more in the last year than I did the whole 20 years before. Sleep is the key.
I would add that it is imperative to understand your patterns of thinking. So many people want to take the magic pill (formula, whatever) when they haven't taken the time to look at their life and beliefs. Often, when people are very depressed, they feel unable to get up the energy to do the work. A lot of work must be done!
@mikwid very good point, i came strictly from a nutrition angle, but ths is just the tip of the iceberg... people must be ready for healing, to look at their thought patterns, to want to change, etc.. i know many poeple who stay depressed by choice because it allows them to hide out and avoid life. so it's all about looking at every angle :) thank you...
@MyOwnStickFigure i think liquid herbs are great, and they often extract the magic of the whole plant :) (versus just an isolated part of the plant). so i will put it on the list to do a video about :)
Great video dear. I'd love to see a juicing detox video from you with sample menus for day to day detoxing from start to finish. I know many people are clueless as to what to start the juice fast with and what to use to come off it and it really is important to know to avoid violent detox reactions. Also, how to prep for it and how to start eating again coming off it --- all that would make an incredible video topic! I use raw hemp seed for essential fatty acids, it's superb/easily digestible!
this would make a superb vid topic and we will do some detailed juicing info soon. probably a video to the depth you are imagining would be more like a full length vid we would put out and sell (great idea :) but we can definitely get some info out there to folks! thanks for the ideas.. yes, i think hemp is the best omega 3 option
@nEWwORLDhOARDER thank you.. there is so much more we could go into, but at least it's a start and then people can learn more from all the comments :)
