  • Pinch me!

  • i dont like it when family fights but tha camaros gave it there ALL n notice how there arent any piece of SHIT mustangs there

  • i thought yenko was a dealer that took factory cars and modded them in their own shop. wouldn't this be considered "aftermarket"? just wondering. no disrespect intended.

  • Whew! I wish ford came out with cars this wicked!!! About the most outrageous ford I could think of would be the 427 Ford Cammer powered 67 fairlane, but that car is probably too heavy and they only built one of one of that car. Also there was the 67 supersnake shelby Mustang with the 427 side oiler but then again probably couldn't beat these cars.

  • stock performance vehicles will always get more respect from me then any car with shit-loads of aftermarket mods.

  • @1966caprice

isn't a yenko camaro an aftermarket modded car?

  • @ezernut9mm . Its the exact same as a COPO, but with YENKO Badging. Both cars are still stock. This COPO has the Aluminum 427, and the YENKO has the Iron 427. The ZL-1 Makes more power.

  • @ezernut9mm Technically yes, now that I think about it a yenko car isn't the best example of a "stock" muscle car, a better one would be an L-88 corvette.

  • @1966caprice . Its allowed to run because yenko didnt alter the performance set up

  • 11's on polyglass tires? love to see a honda do that!! lol didn't the zl-1s have 13 to1 compression? what compression is your yenko running? 12.5 to 1 i would guess? and, what where you using for gas? had to be racing fuel

  • I believe I was running around 11:1 compression at the time, but should be around 12:1 with the rebuilt engine...and the advertised compression ratio of the ZL1 was 12.5:1 I believe, but it was quite a bit below that at that time...however, I believe he's recently stepped it up.

  • @skcharger440 The ZL1 could run 11's easily on pump gas

  • We both run the original F70 Polyglass tires...the ZL1 runs 14 inch wheels/tires, and our Yenko runs 15 inch wheels/tires.

  • what kind of tires where they running? they looked stock to me? all things being equal, the zl-1 should and did win that race. still, very impressive on the yenkos part. i'd love to own either one

  • nothing like a couple of rat motors going head to head..!!

  • The zl1 was an all aluminum engine, the yenko was an iron block, so it's power to weight ratio; through physics, the ZL-1 should win. The only possibility for failure is on the drivers part.

  • @firebat42 . Also the Zl-1's have a 850 cfm holly vs 780, and more compression, and the camshaft is alot different. The engines are alot different when it comes to inturnal parts.

  • im more of a ford guy, but educate me on the Zl-1, never heard of it before

  • @iceswordsmen732 bigger motor, way bigger= faster car

  • @iceswordsmen732 Its a All aluminum 427. Big Solid lifter cam shaft. 850 Holley. 12:1. Its the king of engines. Along with the L 88 wich was the same engine but a iron block with better exhuast manifolds.

  • @iceswordsmen732 ZL1 was a aluminum block and head 427 developed

primarily for Can-Am racing which found its way into camaros through COPO,

a way of back door ordering special combinations. Only 2 corvettes w/ Zl1 built..

  • iron vs aluminium!

  • You need to post a video of your 2010 Yenko! That would be sweet!!!!

  • Video of the 2010 Yenko Camaro has been uploaded! Look in my vids...

  • When it comes to the muscle cars, I am a Mopar man. However, you really have to respect the big block Chevy. To all the 5.0 Mustang douche-bags: yes, a 5.0 can be "made" to run fast; no, they are not that fast from the factory. How many "stock" 5.0 stangs have you ever seen in the 13s... answer, none! How many GMs and Mopars will do 13s or less from the factory... too fucking many to count. In stock form the older 5.0s handled great, but 1/4 mile machines they aren't!

  • so the zl1 ran the 11.77? I thought it would have ran a better time then the yenko.. hmm...

  • @dime6664ever The ZL1 ran an 11.77 to my 11.9x on that pass...I had the mph, but he had the better ET [and win light!]. I managed some low-mid 11.7s that day, and I believe the ZL1 went 11.5x's or 11.6x's...

  • @dime6664ever Iron yenko vs aluminium z-l1

  • Why are the Ford guys so freaking stupid? What part of PURE stock do you not get? 5.0 Mustangs were nowhere NEAR that fast stock. So your built POS 5.0 is faster than a stock ZL1 Camaro? So what? Do the same mods to the ZL1 as you did to your Rustang and we'll see who's faster moron!

  • @kctransplant The Ford 427 SOHC and Chrylser's Hemi cars spanked Chevy ZL1's all day long. I've seen em in action. The Hemi Dart's and 427 Fairlanes are more than a second faster on the 1/4 mile.

  • @thearmedmonkey . Noooooo they dont..

  • @acemaster1001 Oh yes they do. The sYc's never were fast enough to catch the Hemi Darts nor the Barracudas, but then again those were stock cars.

  • @thearmedmonkey what are you basing this on??? Bring one to the Pure stock drags. And we 'll see how cocky you are.

  • @acemaster1001 The fact that they did the 1/4 mile in 10.5 seconds.

  • @thearmedmonkey oh ok... did google tell you this??? the factory hemi 426 is very over rated. 10:25:1, hydralic cam, did 10.5 in the quarter mile??? dreaaamin..

  • @acemaster1001 The LO23 Dart and the BO29 Barracuda weren't equipped with the street hemi. They had the A-990 Race hemi which was had 12.5:1 and is said to have produced well over 620 hp. A guy ho had one of these for sale claimed it to put out 820hp when it rolled out of the factory.

  • @thearmedmonkey . They also came with single exhaust correct?

  • I'm surprised the Yenko was that quick. I believe the best official recorded time of a 69 ZL1 was in the mid 10's. The L88 Vettes could have been as quick but didn't have low enough gears.

  • @10mak01 Could be as quick? Search L88 and check the second link

  • @Blootster I found Terry Penningtons "stock" L88 corvette running a 10.71. I think the 67 thru 69 L88 Vette only came with 3:36 rear ratio. But changing that ratio would still qualify it as stock at most meets. I always thought the L88 Vette should be as quick as the Zl1 camaro. Thanks for the link!

  • @10mak01 Haha no problem, it was my pleasure. But to be honest, when chevy runs against chevy there are no real losers

  • @Blootster Agreed. If you haven't already, you should check out Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags. Theres a link on my page. Also watch the Old Reliable Camaro video.

  • @10mak01 Thats a F.A.S.T car. Not pure stock. FAST="Factory appearing stock tires" But any Engine combo goes. pure stock is the way they left the factory. Same cam. Limited to compression. Stock exhaust manifolds ECT..

  • @acemaster1001 Hi ace, not sure which car you are referring to. I was just suggesting to Blooster to check all the videos from the event called "pure stock

muscle car drags". They also have a site which goes into detail about what

    mods are allowed.

  • @10mak01 you said you saw terrys pure stock car do 10:70's. thats his FAST car. Different class. just saying lol

  • These times were purely a result of driver skill.

    0:19

    I see 3 camaros :D

  • is this ZL1 a reproduction?

  • battle of the titans

  • camaro is king!

  • ZL1's are rare. They only built 69 of them.

  • Pure stock racing has some of the most stringent rules there are. Only the best street cars run here. None of this 5 liter mustang crap about how they they run 10's when they would be lucky to run 13's in this class. Only real performance cars can win in this class.

  • @emtgregg actually bud you could eat your words if you did sum research. there is 5.0 mustangs that would fit this class that have ran bottom 11s.

  • @BLACKLACDTS . this class allows muscle cars from 1955-1975 only. 5.0L Mustangs are a loow 14 second car P.S.

  • @acemaster1001 the 93 fox mustang cobra was a 13 second car stock and they are sum of the tuffest cars out there.they can take a beating. they have all that performance from a little 302 small block thats impressive. if you ever drove a nice one you would change your mind.

  • @BLACKLACDTS Yeah those fox body stangs are wicked as hell if you mod them. I would love to have a 93 cobra someday, but probably wont ever have one.

  • yup it's all stock research the facts before setting comments >.>

  • i just got a hard on

  • the stock 69 ZL1 camaro ran 11.68 seconds claimed by 05´ Ultimate Performance Cars Magazine

  • Comment removed

  • the white one is copo petes ZL1 car it was stolen by some crazy indians he got it back but what a drag google it

  • i dont know what you all are talkin about anyone who just watched the video just seen 2 stock camaros run in the 11s and yes stock the class is pure stock drags

  • they are both fast.the yenko can do 10 sec with a good driver

  • Damn 11's! in stock form? craziness.

  • badass run from badass cars

  • can you chevy fags say COBRA!! How about gt 40 ! O by the way i dont have my head up ford ass I will take a baldwim motion / dana / berger/nickey/camaro too.... so keep your chevy heads up your chevy asses ...a monkey can build a 350!!!

  • why the fuck are you watchin that video? it says clearly CAMARO!!! go watch some 5 liter pussy videos you faggot! at least those stock chevys can run in the 11's not like the fords of that era

  • 5 liter pussy videos huh? why dont you come up here and run against my 5.0 you bitch. youre gonna have to run low 10s or faster to take it, but im sure your pussy maro will have no problem doing that, seeing as its twice the weight of my car with equal or lesser hp/tq.

  • lol ok once i get my 700wrhp z28 back ill show your lil 5.0 who the king of the road is

  • Comment removed

  • only 69 z-l1s built mostly only racers got em.You had to have connections to get one .how many cj mustangs were built. CHevy didnt have shit that would hang with a cj mustang in 68 ,pony car wise! most chevy guys r just that .giving no credit to the ford or crysler or amc or pontiac cuz .they built a.smallblock chevy and cant pull their heads out of ther asses and realize that a motor doesnt have a name til the valve covers go on it most chevy guys dont have a clue how to build nuthing else !

  • AMEN I hate how everyone rags on Pontiac. I have never been a big ford fan, except for trucks, the body styling just never did it for me. But camaro jerks get so annoying,

  • Comment removed

  • @ arffh

    The CJ Mustang's didn't run 11's like ZL1's tho

  • hahaha, stock my ass, a stock Yenko runs mid 13's, a stock 1969 shelby gt500 ran 13's too so dont go thinking camaros are better than mustangs. they are both good cars.

  • a stock ZL1 runs 11's which is better then any mustang has ever run to this day.......pretty pathetic of ford dont you think

  • WRONG, jesus, do some research before you post ignorant shit, a stock ZL1 runs 13's!!!!!!!!!!!!! guess what.....almost any shelby runs 13's stock as well. albeit, the ZL1 does have a est stock ET of 13.5, about a tenth faster than the 69 gt500, but it would be a drivers race.

god, what is with chevy guys, why are you so closed minded? a great car is a great car.

    IMO i would take a 69 gt500 over a ZL1 any day

  • I did my research and there is no way that a 550HP car that weighs less then 3100lbs only runs 13's........your claim just sounds retarded.......its an easy 11sec car

  • well technically it could, if it had like a .75 rear end. but yeah, odd's are they didn't run 13's. You also have to remember that the ratings back then where on crappy tires.

  • very true....Im sure todays fuel, tires, track conditions, and drivers are much better today

  • well the tires are but everything else is the same

  • o and the fuel is lower octane now

  • It's called racing fuel.

  • Yeah because that stock 69' ZL1 totally DIDN'T run a 11.77..................like in the video.

Why is that all the Ford fans are such ignorant douchebags?

Respect them, they are muscle cars.

  • oh, and i find it ironic that you say ford is pathetic when the ford mustang is the ONLY pony/muscle car to be continuously made since 1965, pretty pathetic of chevy dont you think....

  • LOL camaro guys dont care about sales.......we only care about performance something ford obviously knows nothing about

  • The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Specifications Weight, lbs: 3,300 Standard Engine Type: ohv V-8 Displacement, cid: 427 Fuel system: 1 x 4bbl. Compression ratio: 12.0:1 Horsepower @ rpm: 430 @ 5200 Torque @ rpm: 450 @ 4400 Representative Performance 0-60 mph, sec: 5.3 1/4 mile, sec. @ mph: 13.16 @ 110
  • LOL you need to stop wasting your time with online specs and talk to someone who has owned one or knows alot about them bc GM underrated them......Just like all companies did back then....I figured you already knew this but clearly I over estimated you.....they wear rated at 430HP but when put on the dyno they put down around 550HP....look it up its a fact.....and they weighed less then 3100lbs.....I dont know where you got your info from but its wrong.....look it up

  • 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 5.3 11.68 (Book:Ultimate Performance Cars '05)

google this if you dont believe me

  • Yeah plus the ZL1 in this video was stock and look what it ran. a 11.77

    People are retarded.

  • @ sirniblet

Going by those stats...a stock Dodge Challenger could beat the ZL1. It's a great car, but I'm almost positive the ZL1 is faster.

  • Comment removed

  • wow stock......lets see a rustang try that

  • a rustang??

  • mustang=rustang

  • chevy or lazy!

  • That's incredibly fast for being stock...

  • We have a ZL1 here in Nashville. See it out sometimes. SUPER SWEET!!

  • That rocked the dump!!!
