Kinda seems like a cop out because most people would have a lot of trouble with boss enemies even from some of the earlier missions head on. To me, you might aswell use a Deceptisol..

daze can be cured in 3 ways, 1 foul liquid, 2 esunga and 3 getting hit, you will never need foul liquid because the enemy, (for me) always hit me and took it off

@SoloXIDrip Yeah, you should be good. I recommend at least doing the first 14 missions, though I just like going up through 17 as long as I'm in the area. If you want to farm Tetradic Crowns from Bituitus, the Collector Catalog would help, but there's a much more reliable way of getting them that you have access to now, though I won't spoil it here.

I noticed in some battles you use snow for com and rav rather than Sazh for com and rav? Is this only because Snow can use Ice?

@ashugart Yes. More enemies in the Archylte Steppe are weak to ice; whereas, more enemies in the Vallis Media are weak to fire, and I don't feel you need Sentinel there. Similarly, I don't find Synergist useful at all during random battles now, especially since we have auto-buffing accessories and we're just so much faster now.

The game isnt bad if you play it with a certain mindset. Its actually really fun. Ive played all the final fantasys ever since I, and I do agree that XIII isnt the best one, but its still awesum! I dont know why people complain about it so much. Just enjoy it for gods sake.

When alot of people see "Final Fantasy", they expect a certain kind of gameplay, and this game pretty much squashes all those expectations. I thought the same way until I played the game for myself and learned to enjoy the game as a "game" and not as a "final Fantasy"

I find it funny, the number of things HCBailly does to make this game look easy, that I can do to make it look harder, or the amount of things HC screws up, that I can do without even realizing. I got a preemptive strike on the Behemoth without even trying, and defeated the undying with no Lightning protection. Although I did have my main Meat-Shield, Snow. The one time I replace Sazh, or Hope is when it's Meat-Shield time.

Well, not too much happening there... I'm not sure but I think I recall using a SEN for that first mission so not all of my characters get debuffed but I might be wrong there. Of course it took a while longer but I like to play it safe.

Yeah, dreaded pools of water... every evil lair just needs a puddle around it and the heroes can't reach it. (FF X being the exception, of course)

@pious83 I'm mostly doing it now to unlock the Waystones. If you don't do it now, but decide to come back later to do all the missions, you will have to walk all the way back. Of course, the extra CP helps immensely. That said, it really is a bunch of pointless boss kill quests with very few good rewards and provides minimal background to life on Pulse. Not every game has sidequests as good as Chrono Trigger.

Trapezohedron's are the most important items in the game if you like to upgrade weapons. Which is necessary to finish the final 5 or so missions. I agree that they are extremely expensive. It takes so long to farm them and get the money but fortunately you only really need to buy/farm one since you can max out a weapon and desynth 3 :)

@RyuuSeichi Good catch there! I missed that. In my first test run, I used Lightning, Hope, and Fang, in order to get Barthunder and Veil. I later decided that I would plan ahead better and teach Barthunder to Sazh, so that I could also get Haste, and didn't need Veil. Evidently, I neglected to change Fang's weapon to Vanille's there.

For future reference, if you don't want to alternate magic and strikes, you can still chain faster at the cost of DPS if you alternate between a weakness and an element the target takes normal damage to. Not really worth it unless the chain resistance is somewhat high (alternating/weakness chain bonuses bypass chain resistance), but the option is there.
