TRUST ME IVE HAD MY GSXR 2 YEAR ITS VERY FORGIVING COMPARED TO MY BROTHERS R1 JUST TRUST IT ON THE CORNERS LEAN MORE THAN YOUR COMFORTABLE WITH :D TRUST ME .... sorry for caps
i know your friend probably doesnt have the 96 anymore, but i would cherish a gas gauge or at least low fuel light on my bike. I have an 01 zx6r and i have ran out of gas a few times because lack of an indication. thank god for a reserve! lol anyway ride on ladies! FTW!!!
@ashf00t ah ok. lol thought i recognized one of the intersections as going by harry and davids chocolate factory where i installed all the flooring lol
Hey there youngster. Just my opinion but I think you should focus on riding not vlogging while riding. I've been riding bikes for about 35yrs & can not stress enough about experience & learning proper techniques & using them. It is very easy to fall into bad habits & it only takes a split second to screw up.
Any way, good on you for taking an interest in riding. I won't go into my opinion of your choice for a first bike. Rubber side down & always at your own pace! :-)
i rode my friend's ninja 250 that i'm learnin on while payin off for my zx6r...He is teachin me how so i can get my license...anywayz i was ridin really good then came up to a thick wet sandy patch i tried to hit the front brake but instead i panicked i hit the clutch and right when the rear wheel was comin out from behind i hit the front brake got it to stop but when the bike tried to fall over it fell on my leg i guess my right arm couldn't hold it up no more
@o0jun0o cool u learned all ur skills from ur 600cc? i am planning to start learning to ride motorcycles and parents can supply the first motorcycle. bike i fell in love with was r6 and 6r. im planning to start on 600 too with zero exp, (so many ppl contradicts that noobs r dumb to assume they can handle it). but damm i want it... either one of the 600... how did the experience of starting 600 end up for u and did u have any prior bike riding experience
@o0jun0o 600cc isn't that big of a deal...just stay off that throttle!! ; )
i always thought i wouldn't speed when i got my first bike (which was a zx6r) but i hit over 100 the third day i had it....you think you will control yourself but you have to be honest and you know whether or not you have self control....good luck in the future
Well actually I don't use the setup I have in the video anymore as you can tell you mostly see road. My new setup is in a video on my profile, just search for Helmet Cam Setup on my profile vids and it'll pop up :P
You are actually in Hillsboro, next to 10th and TV Highway. You probably came over Chehalem Mountain then over to River Road into there from Newberg. Happy riding!
You're effectively riding a motorcycle while using a mobile phone, you're thinking about lots of things, probably least of all how you're gonna take the next bend.. Nice to make videos but be safe.
grr i mean shift gears... sorry bout that... when yeh hold in the clutch, let go of throttle, shift to a gear, let go of throttle, open gas... that.. anyway nevamind.. :)
no its not that you are taking the turn too fast, but its more because you are riding in the corner, and this sets an early apex while in a turn, that's why you run wide while exiting the turn...
look at your friend, where she is riding... more like in the middle and rather near the yellow line... its important to enter a turn in that way, you get to see more stuffs when you enter a turn in the corner.....
First off, apparently you haven't seen my more recent vids, I don't coast anymore. Second, this vid was taken what, 4 months ago? I've learned loads since then and am a better rider. But thanks anyway.
Sorry, it's just, did you see how you typed your comment? It really wasn't in a complete sentence so I got the sense that you were ripping on me. Adding a word like "try" would have made a difference.
ashf00t, you've got one of the best sport bikes ever made, kawi makes alright bikes but, gsx-r's are straight from the origional suzuki factory race bike.... i've got a 97 gsx-r 750.. it's old but it still runs like a raped ape.
ride safe and remember your bike ownes you so respect it. ;)
it can if you ask it too; on pourpose or accident.. truth is, your 600 probably has more pwr than my 750... they've been stepping the HP gains more and more every year so the late 750's probably have the same HP as the early 1000's.
you look like you have it under control though, you look good on it. ;)
So has everyone who has watched it. Funny thing is it looked worse in real life. Watching the vid makes it look not as bad but I remember I was on the yellow line.
Hey ash, how did you pick your bike up by yourself the 2nd time you dropped it?? Nice vid and thanks for the heads up. Krysten dropped his bike in gravel the same way too.....man I am really going to be careful around that stuff. :(
you should always have you right foot on the brake, its the safety position, even when you are stationary, just to be safe that was what i was always told.
I use a Fujifilm Finepix Z camera. It has a speaker and its mic on the same side (the left side) so it's not on the front or the back where my mouth would be, which is very nice.
Ya I got on her about not wearing very much gear. She is a scooter-switched-biker and she just got her bike so she hasn't gotten much gear yet.
lol don't feel bad i drop my bike the same way right on the showroom floor right as i bought it i was sittin on it an yes i got off an forget to put the kick stand down it when down an took 3 other bikes with it my bike did not get damage but one of the other bikes it fell on got a little damage ...an yes i had to pay for that
OOOOO! Well to tell you the truth I've seen that happen a couple of times I work at a powersports dealership in Minnesota and we had a guy come in and sat on a brand new 2007 yamaha r6 in the show room and dumped it. He was like 5'6 or something a real short guy and his damn feet couldn't touch the ground and over she went along with about 5 other new yamaha's ! Never seen a funnier/embarassed as hell look on someones face haha
