I know you answered it already, but the old battery with the new cover, are you sure it's fine?

Won't it come off, from a smaller hit(like putting it down on a solid surface a bit harsher)? Since the new cover is not supporting it from behind, the only thing holding it in it's place would be the plastic thingy around it.

Best battery combo is high capacity ebay battery (2430mah) on ebay €14(same size as standard) and the battery cover called 'swiss charger' adding 1500(mah)and very little bulk ,though its €40 thats 3930 mah altogether!

Casemate tough case does not fit, believe me I've tried. Battery is excellent longest time so far is 22 hrs.

I like the more powerful battery because I am one of the people that use it as a computer replacement at work and am a gamer which KILLS the battery. But this means all those nice cases that are made to include the original bump on the back aren't going to fit now. So does that mean they are releases new cases too???

What cases fit it...the bumper (backless cases) are best. Iterate the soft pvc cases work but are a bit bulging at the back. See if you can get you hands on a bumper type case.

Yes I've been using this battery for a while and it really does make a difference from the 1650. Can last the whole day 8am - 11pm with 40% remaining. Compared to the original, it would be dead by 7pm.

@WoeIsMann Just charge it until is 100%, that whole 'big charge' thing is a myth and isnt relevant to newer Lithium Ion battery technology. Once new batteries get to 100% they cut themselves off from the power source.

@Durhamred69 It still fits in some cases, mostly silicone based ones like SGP Neo Hybrid.. It doesnt fit into hard plastic ones like the official Samsung vented case.. XDA website have a list on what fits and what doesnt.

Ive just bought the SGP Neo Hybrid EX which is more of a bumper than a case and fits perfectly as the back is exposed.

I have the battery since day one. Phone looks 100% better and battery life is improved too. IMO it should've shipped like this. Not to mention the grip is improved a little bit because you don't feel like holding paper anymore.
