iPods all the way. My Sansa Plus doesn't even synch all my songs. I have 350 songs and it only synchs 150. It took me FOUR HOURS to drag and drop every single one of my songs into every single artist folder and it only synched not even half of my songs.
With my old iPod, I was able to synch all 350 songs in just MINUTES. Sansa blows. I'm saving up $150 for a new nano.
Did you buy music from failTunes? Then that's why. failTunes uses AAC (which itself is a great format) but because of MP3s dominance pretty much only iPods and a handful of other players support it.
Also, get foobar, it can do the sorting for you, as well as transcode your AAC songs to MP3.
I've been using the original Sansa slip for over a year, sound quality and battery life are excellent. It sometimes is a pain not to have a bigger colour screen, but the size of the unit makes up for this.
Well Done Bridget. I just purchased mine today ..it's fine indeed.. YOu notice they squared off the buttons, as to distance themselves a little more from Apple's design..nice touch.
It’s hard to keep up with high tech now days, as soon as you get it all figured out, it’s garbage.

Also, by default the Sansa Clip+ will use MTP transfer mode. Switch it over to MSC mode and it will be much faster.

Sansa rocks but scratches very easily if you don't use the protective pouch
