It's really hard to tell. With his appearence, in the translated manga he looks more like a boy really but in the anime he's got more...*makes wavy hand motions* hip(s?) really.

As for the translations, well, that arguament just goes to hell really quickly.

I'm personally hoping he's a boy anyway. A bit or a weird one, in many, many ways...but a guy.

I wonder if the Japanese have these arguaments too.

Honestly, Crona's gender is a mystery. But in the original version, in Japanese, he is a she. In the translated American version, she is a he. Or that's what I heard. Crona ws originally female.

yes but sometimes the sub could be wrong because i saw one episide where the in the sub refered to chrona as a girl but on the next episode it said chrona was a guy so it is still a mystery i think chrona is a girl from her looks and japenese voice

@Peachykissesme acctually yes they do! in the anime they refer to chrona as HE, HIM and plus, if ur a true anime lover you can tell the difference becuz of the eyes, the figure, the way they speak, and so on. GOD!! so many people are stupid

@InoThePig the Gaoooo part was from episode 21. :) in the English version Maka says Hellooooo instead. They are both the cutesy faces I have ever seen! And Crona's my fave character now! I was just like him as a kid (no abusive parents, thank God) but I was bullied (as he was bullied by Ragnarok) and I was alone. And it was no fun. But now I'm not alone. :) but ily Crona. ;) if Crona was a real life person I would hug u and be your friend forever!
