The Oppositions view on this does nothing but infuriate me. 12 Mbps is nowhere near enough for the distant future, and anybody who even has the simplest idea about what they're talking about knows this.
There is a basic fact that only the ignorant can disagree with: Australia's, and the entire world's data usage is only going to grow exponentially.
Knowing this, it's easy to see that this (FTTP) is the only type of network that can provide the future-proofing that will be able to deal with that kind of growth.
Telstra can argue as much as it wants, but as Four Corners and they themselves outlined, they have only *prevented* the only alternative - FTTN - from being viable.
It's a great idea, I support it. The only problem is Australia is a massive country....
