I have friends that are huge but they eat healthy & are athletic, into sports or the gym. Someone's weight isn't necessarily their fault. Ppl think my friends overeat or that I undereat on purpose. Not true. It should be looked at on a case by case basis, instead of saying all fat or all skinny people are the same.

A person can eat alot yet still feel hungry due to a low ammount of insulin, or a high ammount of the hormone produced.

Yes lack of willpower. The same principle to drinking alcohol when ultimatly, its a poison. Will one burger make someone fat? Will one drink kill someone from liver failure?

But again, should people be made fun of because of something they can't help? People shouldn't think less of fat people until they know the reason behind it, its only a small minority of people who cannot control themselves and its natural, I think less of those people, but I don't know of any fat people who just eat TOO much.
It falls under the same umbrella of having custard yellow teeth, or wearing glasses (though this last view has changed mostly).

it's ignorant and selfish. people should take care of their bodies especially when they live in such positive environments.
if people struggled with this in China or Cambodia, i might think differently, but it's a phenomenon that's dominated by western cultures and it disgusts me

you are right though... a lot of it has to do with will power.
america has devolved into a society that, when a problem is found or a habit is deemed unhealthy or innapropriate, the people seek to find ways to justify it or view it as beautiful, healthy, or 'open minded':
for example, being overweight (big is beautiful), homosexuality (born that way), poverty (gimme that Reagan Cheese) etc...
you don't see these phenomena in other eastern cultures

i dont think its a small minority at all, not many people have these genes that make you want to eat more or a faster motabilism or whatever, it just sickens me when i see people so fat that hey cant walk and have to use mobility scooters and stuff, i have no sympathy for them

It isn't a gene that makes you want to eat more its a hormone that's secreted from the pituartary gland in the brain that alerts the body to eat food. The strength of this hormone varies, so a greater strength will make a desire to eat more.
If the body doesn't make a sufficient ammount of insulin or leptin then that also affects how fat somebody gets.
A person can eat alot yet still feel hungry due to a low ammount of insulin, or a high ammount of the hormone produced.

You have a very valid point, and I'm on your side, however, but in recent years with the introduction of fast food, junk food, and artificial replacement ingredients, many people (children usually) ARE fat because of poor diets.
