  • For me, one of thee greatest comedy sketches I have ever seen....and that's coming from a huge comedy fan!

    Fucking GENIUS!!

  • This alone has inspired a huge chunk of my scriptwriting.

  • regulations governing materials they can be made ot

    what regulations?

    well cardboard's out

  • from @TRGirlLAU

  • Great Video!

  • well whats out there?

Nothing. Just water, birds, and fish. and 80,000 tonnes of oil

    hahaha

  • It could be Sarah Palin being interviewed, what?

  • In 1991, the Greek tanker Kirki lost it's bow off the coast of Western Australia, spilling 20,000 tons of crude oil which then caught fire.

So much of this video is based on real events.

Just a bit of spin on the explaination :-)

  • Hahahah love this!!. Satire at its finest... I feel sad for the friends I show it to who "dont get it"

  • @manithemoneyman I don't understand how anyone can not get it! It's pretty simple! The simplicity of it is half the joke! haha

    Excellent video.

  • L--M--F--A--O!

  • oh those pesky waves!!!

  • I'd never seen this before, never even heard of Clarke and Dawe. But *that* was brilliant.

  • This is so terrific; I remember it so well. Thank you!

  • How could anyone NOT laugh at this video??

  • The front fell off.

  • "No there's no environment, it's a total void!"

  • Love it, love it, love it! This is one of my favorite comedy bits of all time.

  • It's not real guys, check snopes.

  • @PenguinMorgue Snopes is wrong. Actual events from1991, not 2007.

  • @PenguinMorgue You check snopes, we're Australians and have been watching John Clarke and Brian Dawe do this for more than two decades. Perhaps you should check out their new official Youtube channel to see how much of this they've done...

  • Hilarious!

  • Well, the ship was towed outside the environment. ROFL Thanks for posting - much better quality than the others on youtube!

  • Oooh I like this a lot, cheers :D

  • John Clarke is a legend.

  • well a wave hit it

    is that uncommon?

out in sea? yea. one in a million

  • Finally a version of this video in good quality.

  • @floolagin

I agree. Good sound and image on this one, the best I have seen to date.

  • @floolagin I'm more excited that I found a complete version of the video on youtube than the quality it's in :P

  • they should have increased the factor of safety in their design to account for things like wave hits

  • @onegenericman are you serious?
