well yeah, if that happened maybe we in the west wouldn't have those bullshit monotheism of Christianity, Judaism or Islam to annoy us. Seriously most of these Atheistic religions likr Buddhism, Daoism and Jainism are the true ways of the future.

Personally, I credit Plato and his unfortunate dualism as the root of most of what went wrong. However, the absence of a God is no more relevant to Buddhism or Daoism than the presence of God. I must also inform you that in Chinese folk religion a great deal of superstitious rot is front and center in religious practice. On the other hand, Buddhist and Daoist philosophy are full of profound truths that do not conflict with modern science.

True.. God is ireelevent in these religions. Personally I would like it to stay that way, but then Mahayana Buddhism came along. Chinese folk religions also have that Jade Emperor stuff in it as to show some kind of image from heaven, But In the end the pure forms of these Atheistic religions always win out.

Don't be too harsh towards Mahayana Buddhism, it is where Zen came from after all. More to the point, folk practices often are irrational, but they are non-viral and provide a protective function against more virulent memes. Also be careful about prophesying and making judgments as to the purity of thing. You may find yourself grasping on to the most viral traditions in western thought.

My original thought was that Buddhism could have had a very interesting effect on Classical western thought. We could have had sutras in Greek and Latin, and we could have seen the synthesis of Greek philosophy with Buddhism. Like we can see it with art from Hellenistic central Asia.

I agree with you that most western religions are in fact viral, and also dangerous believe me I know. And I do agree that many eastern religions and world views to me are a breath of frsh air. And ok I didn't know that Mahayana gave birth to zen, i was premature on that, I like Buddhism, and daoism, I have a copy of the verdas and a daodejing in my house. But we can also see great benefits when mixing eastern thought with western liberalism.

dont stop at appearances, if u deeply study christianity u will understand it says the same things of buddhism

remember all ways lead to the Truth. The Truth cannot be said. Diamond sutra, bible, Quran.. the are only scriptures, indications, not the truth.

Truth, God, Allah, Tao.. these are only names. the reality is indescribable

The Buddha simplified the Vedas. He understood that the life-force that animates the body is absolute and undying. Our suffering arises because we attach to the animated, i.e., the corporeal body. If we stop attaching to the body and turn to the incorporeal life-force we attain Nirvana. To first awaken to this force is called bodhicittotpada. When we master it completely this is Buddhahood.
