  • in the movie 300 they all knew they wouldn't be going home, and it was the love for there families that they went. you don't go to your death for just anything

  • In a straight fight Arthor wins, but in a war of minds and tactics, that where Arthor reigned, he is famed for being a leader of men, not a badass warrior like Leo.

  • hahha you ppl are really funny , you Dare compare a spartan warrior like Leonidas with a traitor? so pathetic, Arthur get hired from Romans to kill his own ppl..King Leonidas obey the law of own ppl and sacrifice him self for them...

  • @vSarrg ummm you are going by a movie that changed the old story of King Arthor, in the modern movie he is both Roman and Britan, but there is no proof Arthor even existed.

  • I'm guessing 25 people thinks Arthur beats Leonidas :P

  • wtf this doesnt go with it

  • I didn't wanna say it,

    'Cause it's a stupid comment,

    But here I go;

This is way better than what that Fag Justin Bieber makes.

  • you mixed a beautifull film with a comic film with monsters and half nude soldiers :S

  • huh perfect :)

  • this vid and music.... this is the essence.... i am a sick person. one of those w a disease that strikes fear into the hearts of men. i have walked in the valley of the shadow of death. when death is stalking you, and you are all alone, if you scream from your depths to them.... w a heart full of pure sincerity and steeped in the fire of truth... they will come.... they forever live in the depths of the human subconsciousness. this is I know. take nothing for granted. hope this helps someone.

  • @jaekose What in the heck are you talking about?

  • so beautiful it make me litttle cry xD

  • the video parts are to fast should be fading faster ...

  • Great.

  • PROUD TO BE GREEK!!! we will go home across the mountains

  • i love this. it absolutly send chills up my back.

  • You know what's funny....or not.

Both the Hero (Leonidas) and his wife are portrayed by actors who come from scotland! Gerry is from scotland as well as his partner, forgot her name, just remember she's from the very North. Tough woman, the celts. That's why they chose her to play a Spartan.

  • i love this song too

  • This Really touches me here in a Foreign Country as A Student..Accros the Mountains Back To Home,,Greece,,Patra...

  • Be nice to see this song done to the clone troopers of starwars, with video clips of them!

  • liked what u did here, both movies are awesome, but they did stretch 300 alittle too far with the fiction

  • lol do you think that king leonidas could beat king arthur? :)

  • would depend if they had equal weapons if it was steel vs iron then i doubt that leonidas could beat arthur

  • definitely. leonidas could kill arthur with his shout alone.

  • Achilles will kill them both in one strike :)

  • @lancecryor we would beat king arthurs ass! leonidas rocks ;)

  • @frontman3283 "he" not "we"

  • @lancecryor Without a DOubt but would Maximus Decimus Meridius beat leonidas

  • @lancecryor Probably :P

  • @lancecryor oh man that has to be a film idea, secure the rights for it.

  • @lancecryor in a heart beat.

  • :48 to :51, music matched perfect. But, not the whole song matched right.

  • very good song...bad movie...in my opinion

  • People qualify things they don't truly believe with, "In my opinion".

  • i m sorry but this absolutely did not suite together

  • um, the armor is all wrong----armor is to protect vital areas, right? so why THE HECK ARE THEIR STOMACHS EXPOSED???? not accurate at all. . .

  • So we can see their ripped abs!

  • shield in the left hand and spear in the right hand.

the shield protects the stomach and that kinda shit

makes the man more flexible to move i think

    sounds stupip maybe:P

  • good song selection but the videos is fast forwarding.....

  • This doesn`t go well at all...

  • Not a very good movie, looks like you just took a few dramatic clips of 300 and put We will go home on it...too fast at the beginning, got good, but then there was ten seconds without music while the movie was still rolling.

  • if you added it without the "we will go home" part that would actully be cool, and go with the scenes you've chosen.

  • The music was to slow at begining.. But the end was really good..

  • its sad to think that mankinds greatest achievments are found within war. nice video.

  • It's human nature, get over it.

  • If you want to look at it that way, then it will be so.

  • poland sarmats

  • The song is so beautiful in the middle,Well every part is beautiful but it lifts my heart to hear the instruments come together. I wish it lasted longer!

  • @OreoAnne this part of the music is sung by Lisa Gerrard :)

  • @darrenleeherr its the women from king arthur singing we will go home but if you mean the opera kinda singing then your probably right

  • Frank Miller's 300 was very close to the historical facts. Some of the dialogs are of course fiction. And of course many scenes do not respond to the true ambience nor places.

The Movie 300 was inspired from the homonimous comic book. The book was inspired from the history of the greco-persian war back at the 5th century b. C.

The most thriling about the movie is the legend. Not the myth. The legend. Being so well presented by one of the most brilliant director of our times; FRANK MILLER!

  • it really isnt historicaly acruate at all.

  • Excellent work mate

    Worked really well, nice editing

    Tadhg x

  • Oh this is called song of exile btw :)

  • Darusdei

i know spartans WON over the persians you fuckingidiot. but that movie is a lie.. do you think 300 Fucking people can beat 1000000??. read som fucking history on wikipedia and then come and open your mouth

  • Dustish08. Ok you fail.. Stfu... Wikipedia aint all true you dipshit. People can edit that site/topic with what they believe ok...

300 is based on a graphic novel as darusdei said. So maybe you read some fucking history dumbass.. nuff said son.

  • i'm tired of people harassing America when all we do is try to help your stupid asses the moment we leave the middle east you will all start clusterfucking each other again so FUCK OFF.

  • Blackbird. YOu dont know shit.. Just cause you get clusterfucked.

  • wow look who replied the fucking idiot who said the battle wasn't real 300 Spartans did hold the pass at Thermopylae for a while against an army of four hundred thousand it was not a million but they did statistically kick the Persians asses until they got flanked this is a true story but the movie is based on a graphic novel i have researched and wrote a paper on this for my class so SHUT UP. and what i said about Muslims is true the moment the UN and America leave it will go crazy there.

  • soon as the oil is gone you will leave and then the whole world will clusterfuck itself in one big last orgy, so 'nuff said son.

  • HAHAHA this movie is bullshit you idiots. there is no trueth in this movie. you all should read some history. its only the stupid americans who have made this movie because they hate everything thats iranian. fucking european immigrants.

long live persia and fuck islam

  • Mate, Firstly this movie is based on a graphic novel...

secondly there actualy were spartans who actualy kicked the persian butt thats a fact that you cant argue about...

  • ...and the film about 300 was very closer to the history as Alexander and Troy anyway.

And Persians had war-elephants a strong destroing weapon of that time.

Thermopyles is a very small area,300 spartans was fighting but the persians destroyed and killed many of its own ppl because the ones behind couldnt see what the hell is happening in the front

  • excuse me but if you think the 300 Spartans is a fiction film and not true then you are living in a fiction world!

  • at least 300 has a historical true background not as arthur imaginative story....with knights loving kings wife ...bleah

  • King arthur.....is teh real story oh king arthur///

plz dont even reply... youre too stoopid

and we dont know for certain what happened with teh spartan warriors(if they were 300 and persians 1 milion)

  • ok 300 isnt true 300 spartans never did stand up to like 1 million persians dont belive every film you see

  • It is true that persians were not millions, maybe some hundred thousands. But in the battle of Hot Gates, there were 300 Spartans (every 1 of them accompaned with 2 slaves to hold his armor who cant be considered as soldier) and 700 arkadians who were sent there to delay the Persian army until all Greek forces were ready for battle

  • The movie 300 simply doesnt show the truth, and is just a fictional, spectacular action film, while King Arthur tells a story about passion and real feelings... the movies simply cannot be compared...

  • 300 shows passion! Are you blind? It tells the stroy of 300 men deafending their land, their homes and family! Willingly to sacrifice their life doing soo! If thats not passion or real feelings then what world are you from! And the story of 300 is real, many scenes aren´t though, like the elephants and the troll guy, But the persians where almost an million strong! everyone that have studies history more knows this! 300 spartans and 700 arkadians! That proves that 300 have real feelings!

  • LOL this is kinda funny...THE SARMATIAN (IRANIANS = PERSIANS) song put on the GREEK SPARTANS... King Arthur's Knights were Iranian Nomadic Tribesmen (Sarmatians) and not Celts. Celts are related to Iranians because they are all Aryan. Indo-European speaking people all originated in Cauc-Asia or the "Caucus" area of Northern Iranian / Southern Russia between Europe and Asia. Iranians / Persians are Aryans who's faith was originally Pagan, then Zoroastrian, and now Muslim.

  • the song doesnt fit 300 dude to much like commotion for it

  • sorry but this song is sad and calm but 300 is one action scene after another I dont think it fits.. plus King Arthur actually had a storyline, not jjust an excuse for showing off muscles and blood

  • Zekee27

300 does have a storyline as well it doesnt just show off muscle and blood aswell...no disrespect, but yeah

  • So as you can see ChiefSlapah0e, that war was for a compleetly different reasons of what you saw. I am a Greek and i actually love my history and i am proud to be Greek. That's why i search and learn about MY country. I am sorry that i have to dissapoint you but the wars were never that simple, i mean domination and that's all, no it was not like that. I suggest you do the same as me and counterislam and learn something more about it.

  • isnt the persian war something to do with a greek princess being 'kidnapped' by the persian empire and the greeks wanted to get her back.. believe her name began with an A.. but im not sure... i didnt study Greek history lol

  • That was battle for Troy, and her name was Helen

  • And there is still else i've got to say. A war aqtually and historically proved happened but it was not cause of what you see in that movie. And still there is a proof of that even in that movie, do you remember the messenger's speach with the Spartan king? He said that they offer everything but they only asked for the land and the leadership. Those words are a bit (maybe a lot) changed. They actually went in every country in peace and wanted to learn about every culture and spread their own.

  • But i've got to say that CounterIslam is right cause whatever the movie shows is not true.. it's just a propaganda and nothing more, so quit beliving the shit that the "big guys" tell ya and be logical.

  • yes they did had many slaves but all the slaves were greeks( from Athens Korinthos and all the cities arround them) and no other nations.

  • You can't tell me that when they invaded Greece they hoped to make them vassals by spreading their culture... I hope your joking. They got their asses handed to them at Marathon and then at Plataea. Regardless of whether this movie is directly based on what actually happened, the truth lies outside of Thermopylae. Plataea and Marathon actually happened. Don't tell me this was a peaceful approach to making Greece vassals, because it wasn't.

  • Who didn't have slaves. Most of the Persian army was slave-soldiers. The Helots (Spartan slaves) weren't treated the best, I must say, they were often beaten and killed by young Spartans during their agoge to toughen them up, but history was built on the backs of slavery. Either way, there was no innocence.

  • Corection... this was the case of all Greek city states. And poltair, we are not argueing.. look at my profile we are friends.. :P It's just that i can't stand of listening that Spartans were an offensive country. They only tried to dominate Athens, Korinthos and some other Greek cities. Nothing more.

  • "Spartan" is not a specific race or ethnicity,"

Not trying to argue here pal coz 99% of what you're saying is absoluletly true, including that qoute. Sparta IS'NT a race or ethnicity but back then it WAS an Independant City State. It ruled itself, it had its own King and its own culture with its own laws - None of which had an affect on other Greek cities because they were all Independant city states too.

  • "I'm aware of the fact that 300 was an adaptation of the comic book, but I will also state that the comic book itself is a misrepresentation of history."

That was my POINT. The graphic novel was done for entertainment. It was NOT an illustrated history textbook. The movie is an adaptation of the graphic novel (which, as you say, is ITSELF historically inaccurate to say the least), NOT of the historical record.

  • Remember, the movie "300" was NOT meant to be a reenactment of the historical battle. It was meant to be an ADAPTATION of the GRAPHIC NOVEL "300" by Frank Miller (who has done many comic books and graphic novels, and is most famous for "The Dark Knight Returns"). Even the style of dress (with a slight addition to avoid an NC-17 rating [grin]), the architecture, lines of dialogue (including "Our arrows will BLOT OUT THE SUN!!" "Well, then, we shall fight in the shade!"), etc. are from the book.

  • I have the quote from herodotus 't is said that before the battle he was told by a native of Trachis that, when the persians shot their arrows there were so many of them that they hid the sun. Diences, however quite unmoved by the thoought of the strength of the persian army, merely remarked:"This is pleasant news that the stranger from Trachis brings us: if the persians hid the sun, we shall have our batttle in the shade.'

  • 02gouldic

    true that,what you say

  • Don't you just love how videos like this can turn into epic historical debate. Im studying Herodotus at the momment for A level. I suggest that the people arguing over events in these comments should read it. (book 7 is the battle of Thermopylae)

  • thermopyles is a very small region. The persians had many war elephants and the ones in the back coulnt see what is in the front happening...fro the one side was the 300 Spartans fighting for freedom and from the other side,i mean behind the persians overthrow their own ppl just because they had no sight...

I am really very sorry about my bad English

  • EllinMK i cant put my answer to you on this bacuse its took long and you have friend block so i cant reply. I do have some information though.

  • Yes, I actually do. Macedonia was, is and will be greek. Alexander the Great started a conqueer against the east and called all greek cities to serve him. Only sparta did not accept his leadership. So he dominated many lands took many wifes not only from persia, accepted the persians as a great nation. He reached India when his army started complaining about several things. Some say that he died in battle, some say that he died cause of a sickness and some other say that he died cause of women.

  • From what I understand Alexander didn't need to ask for the greek cities help.

Weren't they all conquered by Alexander's father Phillip of Macedon?

  • I agree with the last post. End of the story :D

  • Remember that. Greeks were living alone, fighting each other in peacefull times, and standing together in times of national wars.

  • Every greek city was alone. Many many civil wars existed. Sparta was on the top with Athens before Macedonia came. Every city was a lonely country. But, in time of war with other race, all greeks standed together except of Alexander's qonqueer witch Sparta did not support.

  • And yes Athens was more important in history for their phylosofy(i can't spell that word :P) and you can be sure that nobody here in greece laughed at that movie and were offended for the actors. Everyone liked the movie except one thing. The movie shows persians as Giants and monsters. Be sure that everyone here knows what we fought against to, just people as Spartans were too.

I said before... No bad feelings. There is no reason for that.

  • First of all, i never said that Sparta was peacefull.... I'll repeat for you.. Spartans loved war. Secondly their neghbors were also greeks and were too close to sparta so the war between greeks has nothing to do with every other "dominating" war of any greek(athens macedonia)They just looked up of their own land, burning down towns like korinthos and athens, and taking their citizens as slaves. Sparta never tried to expand all over greece or even further.

  • Sparta never got over Rome... Spartans never kept any land of anyone. If there was a war they burned the defeated's lands and towns.

  • Well, you can say anything about Iran but you can't talk about Sparta. They never tried to conqueer anybody. They loved war.. but in the way of protecting and keeping their own land. If you remember, Spartans did not serve the army of Alexander The Great. There are many reasons for that and i told you the one allready. No bad feelings right?.. And you did try to dominate Greece there are many reasons for that argument and that's why we are posting... and posting.. and posting......

  • and getting in greek land was a misstake, as it was to dominate the other ppl you did. Read about it.. no greek history books or persian ones.. read smthing else. Listen to someone's else point of view for that.

  • look, nobody was peacefull at that time. And if you were peacefull why did you started this war against every country around you? Think of it.

  • this song is fantastic......good work

    thanks!

  • THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah w gli spartani altro ke quie froCI degli ateniesi ATHENE SUX!!!!

  • Would of been better if the music happened around the ending where the Spartans and their king Dies a beautiful death....It would fit in with the mood better

  • yep you right about that in a point of there death that would have been perfect

  • The persian empire is one of the greatest empire who existet :P. And of course it wasent peacefull but no nation in that time was :P every nation wantet to expetn there territory.

  • wrong. greeks in that age(age of hotgates battle and the whole persian war)had no such interests. They were closed in their private world, sparta vs athens, athens vs korinthos, sparta vs korinthos and so on. Nobody looked out of the greek world. Got it?

  • haha you're funny the spartans actually looked to expand they have expanded into persia and asia minor around this time

  • fuckin sure? spartans didn't go a step out of their space, only if in time of war. They were not like Athens and Macedonians. Think about reading some history.

  • Sparta did expand around this time into Sicily and lower Rome. And yes so did Athens they were both fighting for alliances and dominance of Greece the Spartans and Athens

  • The Palaponesian war. Everyone thought Greece was weak cause they fought among there own.

  • thats the point.. even today greek has civil wars... so dont even thing about of spartans, not greeks, spartas going for new lands.

  • gamefreakoi... what has the palaponesian war to do with that war between persia and greece? Spartains dominated some towns but after doing that they used to burn it down and to take ppl as slaves. They never stayed at any town they dominated. SPARTA WAS NOT LIKE ATHENS.

  • She has such an amazing voice!!! I like that you did this song with 300 it fits really well!

  • Since 1453 ;)

  • Pity the Aytolahs screwed it up then!

  • 300 is bullshit! no one knows anything about persian empire! i read thins about it it was the most peacefull and the most beautifull kingdom and empire ever!!

  • i think you mist a page or 2 then

  • ROFL! I think so too! :P

  • Yea, the part where Persia read the:

'How to Make an Empire: Tyrant Edition for Dummies'

  • persians werent that kind of peacefull when the "god-king" was born. before him it was a bit different.

  • u made no effort AT ALL in this video

all you did was get the trailer for 300

    and get the song

add them together to play them in the same vid

  • god lighten up it was only for fun

  • sry, but that was terrible

  • sweet vid

  • awesome vid!

and where do u mean where can u find it? its in the movie "king arthur".

  • hey where can i find we will go home, no one seems to know...?

  • a full version was never made sadly, like, the woman who sings it only sung it for the movie, it was never put onto a soundtrack or a single recorded thing in a studio sadly, someone should just find the tabs who has a great voice, make the music, sing to it and put it up, i wonder what a man's voice would sound like?
