what's the point of handling if you're not on the track, it's the fastest and the prettiest by far, it wins. 147 is much cooler but it has a big engine, and in my country, you have to pay nearly 2000 euro a year for registration, so it's out of the question. I'm so getting the OPC sometime in this year

Well... There is no way a standard Swift Gti can keep up with any of these cars. The swift had a 0-60 in 8.3, Golf GTi: 7.1, Renalt: 6.7 (I'm not evan going to bother with the Vauxhall). If you have put Mod's on your Gti, sure, maybe it could keep up, but the mods to increase the handling to a point where it could keep up, would have cost a bomb!

I'm personally a fan of the Golf, as far as build quality, it just can't be beaten in the hot hatch class!

PS I'm very seriously considering a Mk VI Golf as my next car, but if I could make the payments on the GTI I would definitely drive the MazdaSpeed 3 and the WRX (which gets a wide body kit next year) before I made my final decision. My $.02.
