Arguably one of the greatest ever.. its useless to make comparisons with him :D I actually think operatic singing is limited in many aspects as a style of music. Jan Werner's style is the most musically complete. The way he employs every singing technique, is really difficult, only very few, very talented singers can do it..

I disagree. He has a better Italian pronunciation than most people who have sung this song. I think his accent is very good. I wouldn't have been able to tell if he was Asian if I closed my eyes - I would think he may even be Italian.

the only one i liked is one done by 2 spanish male singers for the special olympics opening. they sounded like pavarotti, (well, not exactly, but trying,lol)...

and it sounded really good. except that they treated it like disco music, which i cannot stand.

i would love to hear andrea bocelli do this.

pavarotti would have been great, but it's too late for that :)

Well done! I love this song, but I usually hate all the "famous" people who try to sing it, b/c they kill the high notes with a ridiculously wide vibrato (ie Il Divo, Sarah Brightman, or Amici Forever). This is probably in my top 3 performances now. Celtic Woman and Jan Werner tie for 1st place (with very different interpretations of the song), but this guy did an amazing job, especially being Korean. I can't imagine how hard it is to pronounce the lyrics properly with a Korean tongue.
