They have nothing on the original from Ralph van Manen. Ralph wrote the song and is famous with it in christian Holland. Avalon did that in the US.

The singer's name is Greg Long and he is married to Jenna Long (standing on his right side). Greg and Jenna have a daughter. Greg and Janna Long are @ our church now, its their home church! What an awesome addition to our Praise & Worship Team. Its our Pastor Kerry Shook & his wife Chris that started this church, first, Fellowship Of The Woodlands, fotw.org, now called Woodlands Church Fellowship Campus 4 locations & goes all the the country all ove the world!!!! ONE CHURCH

I've always loved Avalon, but since they've lost so many of their members they just don't sound the same. The only original member is Jana Long now. If you go back and here they're older stuff it was sooo much better. But, I commend them for continuing during their trying times.

@1980RockGirl it's true that they've been changing members.. but is that the true purpose of their band? NO, their purpose is to glorify God and to serve God with their talents.. Even if Avalon changes their members, they still continue to touch lives with their testimonies and their songs.. God takes to give much better.

Mtotolo, from what I've read, the member changes go a lil' something like this: Michael left Avalon to pursue a solo career (I have to hear about his first solo album coming out, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Michael now tours w/ Point of Grace and plays piano for them sometimes. Cherie left to pursue a solo career as well, and also to devote her time to helping women w/ different issues. Jody (sadly) had to step down bcuz of heart disease (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy).

To me this song is the one they have the most difficulty singing live well. Number one this song does not fit Greg's voice (even though I love Greg's personality on stage); secondly, the blend is just not the same since the original Avalon dismantled. However, I still LOVE THIS GROUP.

I really miss the original Avalon group but ever since Michael Passons and Jody McBrayer left the group...they have really just fell apart vocally. I am one of Avalon's biggest fans and I would buy every CD they come out with, I just miss the REAL Avalon because they were second to none!

I do not agree at all. Jeremi is absolutely fantastic for this group! I don't think it's fair to use one performance to base an opinion like that. I've personally talked to Jeremi many times and seen him perform with them live and he is an incredibly man of God, and aside from that, meshes well with this group. Plus, this performance sounds weird because it's broadcast sound, not live. Just food for thought.
