Me personally think the scene where Locke is in Jacobs Shack and Ben and Hurley are sitting outside the Shack. Hurley takes out a candy bar and looks at Ben the breaks it in half and gives a piece to Ben, they both start munching. It was the most pointless and funny scene ever. Scenes like that, the characters pointing out plot absurdities, the misdirection when we think something serious is going down between Locke & Sawyer, but it turns out when the camera cuts that they're just playing a board game- that was my favorite funny Lost scene.

@Jonesdude666 The thing about Lost is, and what sets it apart from most other shows like it (and there aren't many), is that it doesn't need to answer everything. Anything weird that happened in the show was solely for the purpose of developing the characters and letting the viewers see how they react to certain situations, whether the situations be completely crazy or not. The series was character driven, not story driven, and I think Lost is really the only show that truly pulled that off.

Cuz the story was just so frakking innovative and just kept on getting better and better. Some mysteries got solved and new, even better, ones kept emerging.

If ur theory, that Lost was basically character driven and not all about the mysteries, is correct, then why do si many ppl bitch about the ending?

@Jonesdude666 See, the mysteries are the things that got the general public interested; the ones who grab some popcorn and sit down to watch it really not appreciating much except the big reveals and the shoot-out scenes. But the people that Lost was really aimed at; the deep thinkers, the philosophers, the viewers who THINK about the show, not the ones who just WATCH it; we all understood how much the show revolved around the characters and the fantastic ever-growing depth for each one of them.

Even a character driven series can't completely neglect the story. But that what's happened with the ending. I mean how did the Island work? Magic or sumthin? What a load of Bull!

@Jonesdude666 What I assumed the writers wanted the smart people to think was that all this, everything the Island threw at the characters, was purely supernatural. Everything that happened to them, we say was the Island working it's magic, bringing them closer and closer together. So really that's the only explanation. The Island, and the supernatural things it represented, did all this for the sake of ultimately bringing the characters to the realization that they are all meant for each other.

Unbelievably they ended the show with more closure than I have anticipated. Closure for the characters that is. The island and Jacob were never explained fully. In effect with the final scene we found out that ALL the characters had been killed off. So no spin offs possible - wouldn't work.
