  • Fantastic technique he has!

  • this is nuts!

  • My left hand is tired just from watching this.

  • thats the skills that i like

  • Chopin Etude Op.10 No.12

  • Yea but can he play mary had a little lamb?

  • I only need one midi file :)

  • I play this with one hand stupid people...

  • jeg syntes personligt at der er for mange noder inde i hindanden!.. det bliver meget rodet!!!!!

  • @Th3Ruzh Jeg er helt enig .. Det lyder som om at han bare klasker løs på tangenterne :s

  • he certainly excellent with the notes but it takes more than that to call it a great performance. played much sloppier than he could have...

  • "i play piano like this, your arguments are invalid, BITCH"

  • PSHH I CAN PLAY THIS... just give me a minimum of 25 years...

  • @shenkeey You're right. Moving your wrist too much isn't very good. But if you look closely to his left hand around the mid section of the piece he's gotten really tired and he was VERY tense. Making it extremely hard to produce musical shape. You can tell there are MANY times where his right hand had to slow down for his left hand to catch up. His technique isn't good enough to play this piece this quickly. He missed many notes in the left hand. He needs to slow down.

  • good piano skills, not super though, one of chopin's easiest etudes, put super if it was 10/1 or 25/6 yeah.

  • left hand looks verry fluid!

  • Very good but heavy left hand.

  • @marcuspianostar Marcus sweetheart, could also be the quality of the piano. Some have better voicings than others. If it's not a Steinway, it is probably an inferior piano...

  • Mercenary music, nobody is listening.

    I'm sorry for Chopin :(

  • What is he playing on the left hand?

  • @toruweber Look at the sheets?

  • Comment removed

  • @shenkeey It's about what you see with sheets right haha?

  • looks like the pianist did an excellent job...have any of you tried playing in a room filled with people talking, maybe even shouting and shuffling around? Not the most musical atmosphere -- so considering that the pianist did awesome.

  • No dynamic in there of course. But are passengers forbidden to watch his hands dancing?

  • It's funny because everybody that is dissing this video can't play this song

  • @liamharder It's not a song, bro. It's an etude. Get it right.

  • His technique is okay. Although he locks up and seems very tense, pulling this off is pretty impressive. However, there is VERY little musical shape.

  • @taeyeonwong Actually, it's best to move your wrists as little as possible; like he did. He has amazing technique, but it's indeed a bit tense + not very musical. But then again, this is played in the form of a revolution; which is without much rubato and I heard some forms of musicality in the thematic layer :)

  • having fun there?

  • LOL at the left hand

  • that dudes gonna have serious ARTHRITIS later on

  • @wheelieman1989 tht makes absolutely no sense whatsoever...

  • Yeah, I mean, I don't have his technical abilities, but his Chopin isn't very good. As Rubinstein would probably say, it's "sometimes too exaggerated," and it's a bit weak at times, doesn't have the amount of power that it demands, especially the last four chords, which he just kind of lightly played.

  • Why do so many people are uneducated in music? I mean to say that this piece needs a lot of work from this performer. How do you know that there are no better pianists commenting, the wrong notes are not the problem, is he is professional, without music and in one take is not only necessary but it should be his first nature to play entire concerts in one take and without music. This is not the most effortless performance. A performance with notes that are correct must flow.Is is not just fingers

  • How come people pretend they don't care for his playing at that Euroshop thingy. I would so stop so my jaw could drop on the floor. :)

  • Darius sure is an amazing player, but this piece is only difficult, not really a nice one is it? Makes your brain go crazy. The heavy metal of piano classics, lol.

Mind you, the right hand part is beautiful.

  • this is one of the most effortless renditions of chopin's revo etude i've ever seen. bravo! aside from the wrong notes, come on man, this is not a concert stage. he prolly dosent give a crap whether it comes out right, cuz its in some public place.

    encore!

  • 1:36 mistake aha

  • I think the piece is interesting with the middle left hand melody.. esp on a piano you have never played before.. I have played the same Sauter for most of my years and it is hard to just sit down an play.. That is why this is just perfect!! great job of piano preparation was a must.

    BiMetalAuPt

  • this guy is way better than everyone thats hatin on him combined.

  • I can get any women i want if i can just play this darn thing lol

  • Yup, this's way off Chopin's most difficult pieces.

  • SICK. I think that i was good as piano, but cant say that after watching this.

  • @kitaets78

Sorry, but I have to disagree about "one of Chopin's most difficult pieces".

Of course this etude is a very hard one (and I awfully have to say that the guy in the video, in spite of his evident skills -just look at the left hand- didn't play it so well), but he wrote muuuuuuch harder stuff.

  • Lol, now play Godowsky's left hand version of this.

  • wonderful interpretation!

  • He's soo good, he's bored while playing a chopin etude! O:

  • Good work...

but this definitely isnt one of Chopin's most difficult pieces..

also @kitaets78 pls dont over exaggerate..it just demands negative reactions from ppl..

there are a few mistakes in this...but heck...well played..

  • smug bastard at the end! but serious he just plays 2 consecutive keys including blacks then misses one out. not that hard. and yes i just tried and yes I did ti with one mistake. still think swiping your hand down the keys is easier haha

  • lol could he become any less emotional or look even more bored ?

and @kitaets - never heard of this name before :).. neither has my girlfriend who studies the piano ;) so I guess he's not that known.. and people who do not agree with this interpretation have my support

and also this etude is not even in the top 20% of Chopin's harder etudes

  • and also.. I looked him up.. all the competitions he's supposedly won have no big saying in the world of piano competitions.. it's as if I said I won a competition in Liechtenstein ;)

  • Wahh! How old is he? He plays piano so well!!! Bravo!!!

  • it feels like hes just playing it and not feeling it

  • Is there a wrong note of natural E at 0.08 or was it me who heard it wrongly ? ><

  • Good but not super. Mutes the notes, not that good/

  • His left hand is like a spider!

  • i want the sheets :-D

  • you people are stupid to understand what Kitaets meant. Look at the video, do you see a concert hall? No. He might be just playing around for fun because someone asked him to do so. And you insult him because he had 2 mistakes ? If you want to do so, wait for him to rehearse and play seriously, then you can insult him for what ever he does. You guys really have no clue about classical music.

  • I disagree with the uploader. Simply because he won and played at some events we cannot criticize him? In all fairness, he's definitely talented and the recording itself is pretty bad which makes fair judging rather difficult. However, his way-too-high tempo is probably done to dazzle the audience and doesn't enhance the piece in any way whatsoever. Its great that he's capable of playing it this fast, now play it at a more pleasant speed.

  • I can see the skill but I can't see the passion which I think is also very important quality for pianist IMHO

  • did he miss a note at 1:35? listen very closely.

  • @faxmanloveswaffles Who cares, I'd like to see you play this without missing more than 20. xD

  • @FrosDOwnz I can play a piano... Not like this though. You need to stop trolling

  • @faxmanloveswaffles Exactly. What does it matter if he misses a note? He's not a machine. Don't take it so personal.

  • I really don't understand why people don't like this video?

  • Oh, and that first arpeggio he plays it twice wrong, its Eflat, not E, c,g,c,d,Eb,g,c,Eb... Eb!!!!!!

  • this is my first trolling comment in all of my life, but I´m really tired of this bullshit so I must say it. I learned this piece in 4 days, at that speed, memorized, so... I mean, WTF? have you heard of V.Horowitz., E.Kissin. G.Gould?? really?? is your universe that small?? and BTW, this is probably the 2nd EASIEST etude of Chopin....... GROW UP!!! Music is the art of SOUND!!

  • @andresruval You're so stupid.

  • @MarijaBlueBG I know, I know :) ... but I'm no lying :D

  • nice, he play very good, one of words best piano players 2010, this piece of Chopin is very hard i think. need some skills with 2hands ^^

  • lol this is easy compared with other pieces of chopin, BUT i cant play this lol

  • he's not that super... he makes his first mistake at ten secs in

  • I can play that ..Um No ? lol

  • He's good but as for the listening part, I don't like this song

  • Revolutionary Etude isn't one of the most difficult pieces of chopin, in fact it's one of the easier etudes of chopin

  • @1993DoubleD agree

  • @1993DoubleD but im sure he's capable of more.

I really like his hand shapes.

  • Cylon!

  • anyone who can play Chopin has my respect... that guy was a sadist and a mastochist when it comes to music... but to be able to play it?... shall we call it tallent? skill? memorization? whatever you call it, it matters not to me. i call it awesome and entertaining.

  • one piece of advice from someone studying this piece . .... play the left hand alone and try to add more dynamic motion, most specifically on the main theme. if you can build it up and drop it off quickly it makes it sound so dramatic. in that part your left hand seems to stay at a consistent volume, while ur right does seem to flow up and down. get the left to mirror the right and it will sound even more amazing. once again, nice job. definitely will continue to use this as i study

  • @ martel211996. sorry bud, but i visited ur channel and although i dont dislike ur playing, there is nothin nearly as impressive as this. Ony thing that is is the ocean etude, and unfortunately, it is not u in the video playing it. Dont hate on this man, he plays a difficult piece that requires great endurance to play AT this speed. I do agree with the one person who says he constanty misses an Eb, very true, but an easy fix with time. Nice job man, keep it up.. haters will always hate

  • His left hand goes on foreveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer xD. God, i'm speachless... this is impressive!

  • I think he is a left handed man XD

  • ne kazkoks stebuklas tikrai, kiti pianistai taip pat turi gera technika, pvz Lisitsa ar Koyama..

  • he is playing it on the top of his head, upon being asked to play something. would you all expect him to play perfectly? my goodness people

  • meu deus uma bichona! (toca bem )

  • dinh?

  • Jeez so many wrong notes and he needs better dynamic usage..

  • Chico Marx had some sweet piano skills, heh

  • gerai cia lietuvis pavaro :)

  • This is Darius Mazhintas one of worlds best piano players as of 2010 playing one of Chopins most difficult pieces, Darius has won numerous international competitions and has played at birthdays of Donald Trump and Charles Branson... so you people with negative comments have absolutely no clue about classical music.....

  • @kitaets78 i beg to differ that this is one of Chopin's most difficult pieces...

  • @kitaets78 LOL! You should really watch what you say. One of Chopin's most difficult pieces? WHAT A JOKE! Look at his Ocean etude, Winter wind, Grande Valse Briliante, Fantasie Impromptu, ALL HIS CONCERTOS! This does not stand anywhere near one of his hardest. Why is it easy? Because it is extremely repetitive, a grade 5 pianist could easily play the opening cause of the repetitions. I think that you have no clue about classical music.

  • @kitaets78 ye .. mayhaps no clue about classical music. but there are still many pieces that r like 100 times easier and still like 100 times better, and those include like 100 times more spirituality, difficulty!=quality

  • @kitaets78 You really believe that this Chopin Etude (the Revolutionary) is one of Chopin's most difficult pieces? You couldn't be further off. Left hand mostly straight ascending and descending. Leave the guy alone. Let him play Chopin without such comments on difficulty on an Opus10 Etude. There are 11 others in that Opus. Please explain why each of those are less difficult. I'm all ears. Rephrasing to "The Revolutionary is by far the most performed piece" would have been more accurate.

  • @kitaets78 Not the best nor one of the best.

  • @kitaets78

So because he is "one of the worlds best piano players" you can not criticize him.

Honestly I didn't like it at all.

    It is rushed!!

  • @kitaets78

You cant really say that people with negative comments have no clue about classical music when he plays two mistakes at quite important sections of this piece, on top of this he is playing the piece with a tempo that doesn’t suit the dramatic feel that other pianists seem to be able to do. He is a great pianist with out a doubt but i think your over zealous towards him has blinded your judgement slightly. There are better versions of this piece on youtube alone.

  • @kitaets78 This etude definitely isn't "one of Chopin's most difficult pieces". In fact, when compared to most other etudes written by Chopin (there are 24 in total + 3 without opus numbers), this Revolutionary etude is one of the easiest of them - although it is difficult and has its challenges, of course, like most of Chopin's music.

Please do not claim such false thing and then say that people have no clue about classical music.

  • @kitaets78

Neither do you if you think this etude is one of Chopin's hardest pieces. His music becomes unimaginably more difficult that this. Keep on listening and come back soon friend

  • @JakeMDavey thats right! this piece is fairly easy compared to his concertos etc

  • @JakeMDavey Wait, so because there is harder pieces, it makes this piece a bad one? Or am I misinterpreting your comment?

  • And the best part in all this is that Chopin was Polish :D

I'm so proud i could cry

  • @kitaets78 Never heard of him... Me? Music major and played piano for 18 years.

  • @kitaets78 Yeah maybe in competition... But here he hits a lot of bad notes :) (i.e. he can be the best ever; but the comments apply to THIS incident and to THIS quality of recording.)

  • @kitaets78 This Etude is NOT the most difficult at all :D

  • @kitaets78 I played that piece for God sake, about 10 years ago, it certainly ain't one of Chopin's most difficult pieces!! Try one of his sonatas and see how it compares!!

  • @kitaets78 So, he can play Happy Birthday! Wow!

  • O_O increible

  • If he's having fun inside I don't think anybody can blame him.

  • this blew my mind!!

  • were is the super skill? thats not skill Mozart had skills, but that i bet if u sit at a piano 4 hours a day for 4 days playing the same notes he does over and over u will also get that "skill", not impressed sorry..

  • wow! i can play even play old mc. donald....

  • PEOPLE Quit hating as if you could do better!

  • Ahh,. Another idiot trying to impress people with """Chopin""". As you can see, the people will not even bother to stop to look at this fool. And if any of you dare to tell me "try to do better." Please visit my chanel. not bragging, but as someone earlier mentioned, everyone who criticizes his awful playing will get bombarded with hate comments.

  • @Martel211996

You're not criticizing, you are already hating! The expressions you have used totally prove it like "another idiot", "trying to impress people" and "this fool"! You could have added at least some technical words about dynamics or so to your comment dude...

  • @Martel211996 I think you are very good technically, but you seem like a bit of a dick. A bit too full of yourself for being able to play technical peices with almost no musical feeling...

  • @Martel211996 -_- lol a little arrogant much.

  • Awful.

Dude, do not play Chopin if you're not willing to do it right!

  • only respectable fast playing, but the song is crap and i don't sense any emotions listening to it ... i didn't like it...

  • I like Chopin's etudes. The more one knows, the better.

I think people are taking this video too far one way by saying "OMG HE'S THE BEST" or "OMG NO HE ISNT HE SUCKS HE'S NOT MUSICAL."

The person with the camera was obviously impressed, decided to film it, and put it on YT, that's all. I'm sure he practices hard at home, and yes, he IS playing musically.

  • I am quite sure that this is NOT consider "super piano skill"...

PS: Yeah, now everybody can start replying with messages like..

    "Can you do it?"

"If you think is easy post a video of you doing smt better"

    And sh*t like this..

  • @Eptapus i agree with you because people who listen to classics will know this is just the norm. but I think people coin it super piano skill because most people are not able to do that. Just my opinion though.

  • @tydougandrene Of course you are right and of course people cannot do that. But is obvious that he does not even need to stretch his fingers to play this. The presses keys the one next to the other..

    :D

  • Bravo!!!!!!! You or a star! very good because easy for the hands!!!!!

  • I agree that he plays with zero emotion. Great technical skills, but who cares if it's not nice to listen to.

  • Needs more emotion. That is, better dynamics. He completely failed in the right hand portion of the piece.

  • i can do this but i dont wanna :DDD

  • this dude can probly make a girl nut in like 10 sec

  • @every1wasanoob LMAO!

  • Not too bad :))

  • i played this but 10X faster =D!!!

  • He looks like hes not even trying ^.^

  • tikrai puikiai sugrojo :)

  • holy cow... He made it looks so easy...!!!

  • i hope i was good as him...hehehehe so far...

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us.

  • he is sick! :O

  • ahhh i love chopin. this guys really really talented. its amazing how ridged his left hand looks, and the speed at which hes playing

  • Wow! His piano technique is actually very very good. It's very solid, very rational, very structured. To bad the audio quality is kinda bad, I can't say his piano skills match his musicality. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!

  • Where is he from? :)

  • amazing

  • its really makes me angry when i see such ppl running around not recognizing him....

    very talented guy

  • just an amazing God-given talent. When I see guys like this I just want to burn my piano. 99% of piano players couldn't play with their right hand what he played with his left. YOU DA MAN !

  • its not talent - its hard work, discipline an dedication

  • @darkpaul456 . Thanks for that. i started playing when i was young. Stopped for like 6yrs and want to gt into it again but i feel like.... I wont b able to gt to an exceptional level but im under 20yrs old so... now im starting to feel like its possible.

  • OMG LOOK @ HIS LEFT HAND

  • GAH! someday! someday..

  • what??/how is he full of himself??just becuz hes tryna feel the music!!!

  • Look at his left hand!! amazing!!

  • not bad, i've heard better though, but still, good job! :D

  • I practice piano and For me this piece I never hear it but can say that its very difficult specially in the left hand is awesome :O

  • it's not impossible to learn by ear. I learned the first minute of it from listening to it over and over again. it just takes alot of ear training.

  • If anyone can play that by ear i'd be well impresed

  • this is not a human

  • @ma89so If you think this is "awesome" have a look on Valentina Lisitsa's performance

  • @ma89so but it's asian in disguise.

  • U Vas ochen' krasivye glaza!

  • hey guy's^"^ dont be, you know this is a new ver. he play it..

  • He needs Love! =O

  • semms to be a victim with no friends in beeing child, just playin the piano all the time oO

    oh my god... unbelievable

  • I'm still convinced this piece is more difficult for the right hand, and he shows why. He uses pedal well, and doesn't blur the left hand, so his right hand must be amazing at finger legato. A lot of props for that, regardless of mistakes. Everybody makes them, yet they all complain about them.

  • holy shit it looks like hes just gliding along the keys awesome

  • BADDASSSS

  • OH SHOOT =O

    im AmAZeD!!

  • good old chopin, this guy does him justice... the sound quality doesn't.

  • this bastard is good

  • hehe i recognize it from Scooby doo meets the boo brothers, the scene when Shreako plays the melody on the piano
