Music will never be the same without them. that goes for janis, jimi, kirk... and so much more. Its like they are the founders of real rock and feeling. From ACDC to the DOORS. RIP
@MrJohnthegreat22 elaborate how rap is crap, if you are referring to mostly the mainstream modern rap artists then really I have not quarrel with that statement.
I suppose Aerosmith and the Chili Peppers Sly and Family are bands I know of that sang early rap type songs. Rap is just speed talking a song. If you can understand what they are saying. But most of what constitutes modern rap is geared for the black audience. It is usually vulgar and rude stuff. just saying rhyming words real fast is fine but it has limited musical appeal. At least to me.
@MrJohnthegreat22 Rap is more then speed talking a song, rap is more of a type of music which focuses on the singing in a different way and the lyrical content rather then the instrumentation. You can't generalise about the content of rap basing it just on just the few swear words you hear in them.
I was born in 1993, and yes the music today sucks in comparison to Hendrix and Zeppelin and the like from the 60s and 70s. But the fact of the matter is, we can't go back in time, so why live in the past? Instead, find musicians today that can rock (Jack White, The Black Keys, etc.). If you can't find anyone you like to listen to that is active right now, then by all means grab a guitar, grab your drumsticks and go out and make the music you want to hear!
And when I'm out, I see you walkin'....why don't your eyes see me? And could it be you've found another game to play? What did Mama say to me? That's the way it outta be.
Was lucky to see Zep in '73, twice in one week in '75, and the last time in '77... all Seattle... (and have bootlegs)... and being from the area of Hendrix there's a certain "feeling" Zep had for Seattle.... were always some of the best shows.
im a part of a dying breed. i was born into a generation of rap and pop, but i still play the classics. if you're a part of this dying breed, keep the music going. rock and roll will never die because of us
@TheHuMoCa Jimi's job wasnt done. it would of tooken him hundreds of years for him to b done. and jimmy too if bonham had never died. page and hendrix were both equally talented.
@m3dion I just have a problem with that statement though, because even Hendrix himself says he wasn't the best guitarist in the world. When asked in an interview he said, "I don't know, ask Rory Gallegher"
@insaneme92 thats possible, perhaps i have bad information. which every way its put, all three, Hendrix, Gallegher, and Keaggy, are all fantastic guitarists
@Shackybone No, I did not mean that. I meant that Jimi Hendrix was the best guitarist who has ever lived, better than Page, Clapton, Beck, better than anyone. When Hendrix died, Jimmy Page became the best guitarist ALIVE.
@m3dion very humbling for zeppelin to make that announcement, shows how great their souls were and where their heads were at, to draw attention to jimi at one of their concerts, to hear robert actually tell everybody to be quiet so he can talk to them. shows they they were truely touched by jimis death, a very nice moment!!!
It was pretty much required, if a band was playing a gig after the death of Hendrix that they had to do some sort of tribute...wish there were more pictures of Hendrix in the tribute!
There was no such thing as you tube when I grew up just radio that is like is now playing tired old shit I never new this recording ever was made thank you for posting, real music real musians will live forever.

@Korg8000 dude, I am probably the same age as you, and I feel the same way. The other day I asked one of my classmates what music he listens to... and he answers... whatever everybody is listening you retard... I was like... ok... now i get it.
@Korg8000 You will figure it out man. People aren't dumb, music just doesn't really matter to them. Get excited for the time when you discover there is music in any era, even right now their are bands creating music that will blow you away. @southparkboy119 yes !!!!! good person who wanted to " change the world " ( jimi hendrix , jim morrison , luther king , ..... ) died or ( in my opinion ) was killed !!! in my country there was the same thing !! the singer Daniel Balavoine or the comedian Coluche ( who wanted to be elected for president ... =) ) were killed for sure !! those persons who tried to gave love or good moments or good things were killed .... its horible !!! but their music , show , speech will never die !!!
Led Zeppelin Is and always will be the best rock n roll band in the world. Nikki Six says that Motley Crue is this best band in the world, has he never heard zep or old van halen , that really bugs me.
@calfender08: Motley Crue sucks ass. I'm sorry, I know others have great metal memories from the '80s but next to KISS, that band was the epitome of forming a rock band to do nothing more than party, ingest drugs, and screw sleazy STD infested groupies left and right. After I watched VH1's "Behind The Music" on Motley Crue, I thought "These guys are just a bunch of freakin' loosers and always have been." If Nikki Six thinks Crew is better than Zep, he's got his head up his ass!
@southparkboy119 i think that in through the out door proved to the world that zeppelin was already starting to turn to the dark side of music (still the greatest band of all time)
SkaterFippe4, you would´t wish the death of the people, they make music, that you don´t like, i think they should not has been born (Britney, timberlake etc)..
so many legends of music history died, like jimi hendrix, jim morrison, janis joplin, johnny cash, kurt cobain, scott bonham, john lennon, mitch mitchell...but why don't jonas brothers, britney spears, miley cyrus justin timberlake, die too?
It's time for some good music goddamn, this century was fucked up
I dont wish death, it's just a pity that it was them and not those others. propably i just formulated it wrong: Would be cool if all of em live. Satisfied Mr.?
This is great, where's it from? Nice sound...I love how chatty Plant was in these early 1970's shows. Still very much the hippie, by 75 & 77 he was still chatting it up but with a different tone. Thanks!
by 75 and 77 led zep had a lot more dough and success, still writing and recording some great music in those times too, would have been great to be at a live show in those times, i was born in 4/20/75 its great to see and hear some of these old gems of rock and roll history, thanks to the poster of this clip
A nice, heartfelt gesture. I'd love to see Page and Hendrix play together in their prime. Impossible I know, but good to know Page is still around and doin' it.
well if u think about it, there r some pretty fuckin evil shit in this world, the holocaust, other genocides, beheadings, and many more, im sure somebodys is capible of shit like that . humans already started tossing people into an oven and shit, im sure someone could be out there to kill someone even like hendrix, there was for john lennon....
oh i know...i'm chilled..no problem ! didnt mean it 2 b taken intensely..i wash just suprised 2 thnk people underestimate what humans r capable of..thts all ...sorry !
i was commenting on the comment where u said you doubt sum1 cood b tht evil 2 watch sum1 die...& i said u were kind hearted ! thts not a bad thing ! wasnt ment 2 b taken tht way at all !

Fuck you stupid.
It's wrong to wish death to people. Even if they don't play music of the kind you like.
messerJ4H 2 years ago 4
I dont wish death, it's just a pity that it was them and not those others. propably i just formulated it wrong: Would be cool if all of em live. Satisfied Mr.?

This is great, where's it from? Nice sound...I love how chatty Plant was in these early 1970's shows. Still very much the hippie, by 75 & 77 he was still chatting it up but with a different tone. Thanks!
wldw10 2 years ago 4
by 75 and 77 led zep had a lot more dough and success, still writing and recording some great music in those times too, would have been great to be at a live show in those times, i was born in 4/20/75 its great to see and hear some of these old gems of rock and roll history, thanks to the poster of this clip

A nice, heartfelt gesture. I'd love to see Page and Hendrix play together in their prime. Impossible I know, but good to know Page is still around and doin' it.

Robert Plant is FUCKING GORGEOUS.
i love him so much<333
him and hendrix should have performed together,
led zeppelin was so unique, from the bluesyness to the real hard rock and roll.
they were amazing.<3
