Sorry if this seems innapropriate but: are they your biological children from another man? So do you now identify as a gay man? Sorry for this awkward personal question, but I am a teen and struggling with identifying as an FtM because I still am attracted to males... By the way, I love your kids, they're very precocious, mature, and open-minded for their age.

Really, kids will always surprise me.

My ex and I spent one year before telling her 9 years old sister about our relation, we were "best friends". But when she finally heard about she said : "I think it's OK, as long as people love each other and are happy"

Sometimes, we worry too much about telling "grown-up" things to children, they understand more than we think. We are just adults, that's our thing: worrying.

Thanks for this vid especially for transgenders with kids, because there aren't many.And it can be hard for them too. I think the younger they are the easier they accept it.My kids are 15-21 years. We talked about how to call me when I have changed more( I have to wait for t-treatment) they have a dad already. Hope this will come natureally. It's difficult. But your kids are amazing.Thank you to them for giving there thoughts about it.

Those with kids and are going through transition should see your videos with yours. It would take alot of the worry about coming out to them off of their minds. As long as you were always there for them and loving them, they will love you back no matter what. It's not being there for them that they don't except.

found this via fyeahftms tumblr. Think this is brilliant to get kids' perspective on a parent's transition. It's rare for young family members, especially children, of transpeople to have a voice in documentary efforts and I think it should be done more, both by outsider documentarians and auto-documentarians.

Your kids are freaking awesome!!! I wish all children were as open minded as yours could be opened minded as yours....My 18 and 14 year old are very opened minded and love me as me.
