And if someone is willing to dedicate their time for no cost to the parents or schools to give a little extra help to a student who may need it why is that a bad thing? We ENCOURAGE kids spending time with their parents, many of their parents hold several jobs and simply do not have the time and we help fill the gap.

If you actually read something you would know that City year is helps pay for college by offering volunteer opportunity for young people they help tutor children in schools to help rebuild homes and communities. You might as well get rid of a whole slew of organizations and volunteers that do this. I understand what you're saying but for some families particularly those headed by single or divorced parents. If you actually read something you would know that City year is helps pay for college by offering volunteer opportunity for young people they help tutor children in schools to help rebuild homes and communities. You might as well get rid of a whole slew of organizations and volunteers that do this.
