  • you sound like the Riddler

    Good tutorial

  • @NinjaShadow8

Does it make me creepy if I take that as a compliment?

  • @lzrbld lol nope, he's cool :)

  • Can you replicate a skrillex style bassline

  • @DJRoboticJ

Already on the schedule as "Dubstep bass drop" and "Dubstep wubb bass." Will this cover it? If not, you can ask for others specifically and I'll add them.

  • @lzrbld For a future tutorial?

  • @DJRoboticJ

    Yep.

  • @lzrbld thanks. lookin forward to it

  • is there a way to export songs from lmms to an mp3 format? cause it only does WAV for me. Is there some software I need or something?

  • @arttroll

It should also do OGG. ATM I don't know of any way to directly export to MP3. When I need MP3, I just convert.

  • @lzrbld ok thanks :) and on that note, would you happen to know a format converter as well? :P

  • @arttroll

FFMPEG for example, but I usually just import into Audacity and then re-export.

  • @lzrbld thanks :D but a LAME encoder or whatever for audacity does work for me =\ still managed to convert into an mp3 format though :3

  • I'm installing LMMS right now! I'm soooo excited!

1: Find your LMMS working directory by going into Edit->Settings->folder icon

2: Go to the LMMS working directory

3: Within that directory there should be another called "samples"

4: Copy or move your samples into the directory in step 3

  • Hope u reply to this comment cuz u teached me well and waht u teached me will go to work si i will make a custom dubstep for YOU i mean a fan-made dubstep :)

  • @KuhaKurandic

Sweet, good to know you're putting the knowledge to work. After all, that's really the only way to get the full benefit from these tuts.

  • how do i get the hydrogen drum kit?

  • @rigon63

Good question. If Google isn't working for you, I'll cover that in a later episode.

  • @lzrbld thanks

  • how many mouse pointers do u need?

  • @sp33dbyt3z

    4. Except when my screen-recorder gets loopy and doesn't erase them. XD

  • You sir, deserve a sub :)

  • watch?v=vON-slCsdRQ

  • I recently found some really nice free vsti's that are specifically made for dubstep & dnb. y'all should give em a try. they're really good. dubstepforum [dot] com/viewtopic [dot] php?f=8&t=90924

  • How do i add sample packs and stuff? :)

  • @nizzepizze97

Just copy the samples to your LMMS sample directory. If you don't know where the directory is, you can check the paths settings. The samples are usually stored in a folder called "samples" within the working directory.

  • @lzrbld I dont get it to work, not to be a pain in the you know what, but could you possibly make a tutorial i sub thnx.

  • @lzrbld I figured it out now :) thnx

  • this is like, totally inspirational, dude! happy guy fawkes day, much? v

  • Great tutorial i cant wait for the next ones man keep it up!

  • YES! You're awesome. TKLMMS is right. I've watched some other tutorials on LMMS and most of them don't make as much sense as you do. Looking forward to the next tutorial :)

  • @JohnAllbright86

Thank you, now I feel motivated to go work on it. Right now. :)

  • @lzrbld lol no problem :) Maybe in a few weeks I might have a track completed. It might be quite awhile before I can figure it out, but the sound I'm aiming for is Flux Pavilion and Cookie Monsta smashed together lol. For all I know those two styles won't work together and I'll end up with something else.

  • nice one :) nearly like the same like i have done :) but i think its much better with more kicks fr all people wich just have the lmms samples i would recommend the hip hop kick and snare(hiphop snare 02) becouse they are sound more dull/deaper xD dont now the right word. also i think Syncopation are sounds realy good in dubstep beats :)

  • @ottzu

Ah, very good to see that you are learning what you can from this video rather than directly copying. Your variations seem interesting.

  • @lzrbld yea i tried to make dubstep by myself to it worked great well but i think dubstep is a little bit boring xD just the drumm is nice

  • Perfect tutorial as usual. You explain things so well that everyone can understand how things are done. Keep up the great work lzrbld.

  • @TKLMMS

    TY
