SRSY? To much shit has happened Keade did things that are unforgivable, so much shit has going on that makes her unstable she needed to be reborn.
@Kellox17 i haven't read the whole manga but, i think this is how it goes. Lucy used so much of her power at once and it caused her body to start to melt. You'd have to read the manga to know more but thats pretty much how it happened. I hoped that helped. :)

Elfen lied es una de las mejores series que e visto, que pena que tenga un final tan triste. Con lo mala que se veia a lucy y despues de todo resulta que no era culpa suya sino de una enfermedad producida por un virus, después de ver el anime me imaginaba que kota y lucy se escapaban y vivian juntos por siempre o algo asi, prefiero mi versión que el manga. Aunque reconozco que el manga esta bastante bien. Yo lo e leido entero.

Pues no entendí mucho pero por lo que vi el final del manga difiere bastante de el anime. Kouta mata Lucy-Nyu, ¿cierto?. quiza por la promesa que le hizo cuando eran chibi-chavales, ¿no?. Ademas que es bastante raro la manera tan facil que perdona kota a lucy por lo de su hermana(en el anime).

tio estoy totalmenye de acuerdo ayer vi una escena de la serie y no dormi con la escena en la que unos niños mataron a un perro elfen lied es muy triste y con mucho gore a mi nunca me llego a gustar
La serie no solo violenta, sino que es brutal, por decirlo de alguna manera, pero superados esos momentos, es todo muy distinto a lo que uno pensaba y esperaba.
No soy un blando, pero alguna que otra lagrima si que se me a caido :-D
Merece la pena verla, aunque despues se este uno una semana deprimido. ;-)
Mi opinion:
Elfen Lied es tan triste que podian perfectamente hacer un final mejor, tanto en la serie como en el manga.
At the end of the Elfen Lied manga, Lucy dies at the hands of Kouta. Ten years later, twin diclonius' children appear. One of them holds all of Lucy's memories of Kouta and is named Kaede, which was Lucy's real name. The other, who was not named, contains all of Nyuu's memories of Kouta. They call Kouta their "very special friend".
Nyu also becomes the name of Kouta and Yuka's child, who becomes friends with the diclonius twins. She looks like a child version of Yuka.
So, Lucy/Nyu reborn (the twins), Yuka and Kouta had a child, her name is Nyu? Well, this is a happy/sad ending for me. I thought that Kotha and Lucy will have children... but she died... sad.
Well, after seeing a few posts, I see that Lucy/Nyuu is NOT gone, those 2 girls at the end are her reborn personality's, which sucks for me because I always wanted to see Kouta and Lucy together.
wiki sed dat wenever Lucy overuses her vectors she starts to disintegrate. Her normal range in 2 metres. After Kouta was shot she prolly went over dis range(her arms reached the jets and outta space) and den she melted down lyk she is now
in the last anime ep you see a silhouette of someone behind kouta's door. we all assume it's lucy. in the manga this never happens, she gets her horns blown off, loses her vectors, gets killed, then gets reincarnated.
This is just a question since this has my interest...I was wandering if she was reincarnated...why is she not a child then? Since it's a year or so later or...whatever time span why is she their size ? or...age?

Nadesico360 - The 'chick that came out of the deformed head' was Anna. The first daughter of the (old) Chief Kakuzawa. And like Newaura0513 said, the twins in the end were the children versions of Nyuu and Lucy... Big Cliffhanger, I know.

Pues no entendí mucho pero por lo que vi el final del manga difiere bastante de el anime. Kouta mata Lucy-Nyu, ¿cierto?. quiza por la promesa que le hizo cuando eran chibi-chavales, ¿no?. Ademas que es bastante raro la manera tan facil que perdona kota a lucy por lo de su hermana(en el anime).
Supuse eso desde el principio, ¿porque el final en anime fue mas "ligth"? De todass formas es una historia muy triste ya clasico en los nippones, ¿no?. Como gustan de las tragedias esos...

the end in the anime is better because its (to my opinion) a happy end. but this end makes more sense...He couldnt forgive her so easily like in the anime. Kouta killed Lucy because of the promise he made when they were young (he would kill her if she start killig people)...Lucy couldnt live peacefully because

I am not sure about that was it happy or sad ending, i guess it was both. Still it would be good to uderstand what they said, i only understand english versions... I got almost heart attack when I saw the ending but when I read some comments I understood few things and now I feel so relieved. Thought anime and manga are sooo different from each others.

Sin duda uno de los mejores Animes que he visto.
La serie no solo violenta, sino que es brutal, por decirlo de alguna manera, pero superados esos momentos, es todo muy distinto a lo que uno pensaba y esperaba.
No soy un blando, pero alguna que otra lagrima si que se me a caido :-D
Merece la pena verla, aunque despues se este uno una semana deprimido. ;-)
Mi opinion:
Elfen Lied es tan triste que podian perfectamente hacer un final mejor, tanto en la serie como en el manga.

At the end of the Elfen Lied manga, Lucy dies at the hands of Kouta. Ten years later, twin diclonius' children appear. One of them holds all of Lucy's memories of Kouta and is named Kaede, which was Lucy's real name. The other, who was not named, contains all of Nyuu's memories of Kouta. They call Kouta their "very special friend".
Nyu also becomes the name of Kouta and Yuka's child, who becomes friends with the diclonius twins. She looks like a child version of Yuka.

in the last anime ep you see a silhouette of someone behind kouta's door. we all assume it's lucy. in the manga this never happens, she gets her horns blown off, loses her vectors, gets killed, then gets reincarnated.
