At 30yds a .22 is carrying 8.3Ft/lbs, also, that shot looks at least 40yds, so if you are also considering the fact that the house is 50yds away, as you say it is.
1 Joule is the strength a tennis ball hits the floor with form 1 meter height dropped.
So basically I could throw a baseball at that house and do more damage than that pellet could at 80yds.
Great one shot kill. Right to the back of the head. Pity others even with full bore rifles cannot place a shot that accurate. Could see an issue with neigbors, but then again shooting anywhere you always have to be mindful where its going to land if it misses. Still a great shot

Great one shot kill. Right to the back of the head. Pity others even with full bore rifles cannot place a shot that accurate. Could see an issue with neigbors, but then again shooting anywhere you always have to be mindful where its going to land if it misses. Still a great shot

@Jiinx2 There is very little about this shot that is great..... In the world of true sport this wouldn't even qualify as hitting the broad side of a barn when you're leaning against it. The idiot that took this shot is a wreckless vandal not a marksman and that's true no matter how you feel about pigeons. Light a match at 100 yards and I'll be impressed. It's a shame....

No, If the airgun was a hw77 in FAC it would'nt stop the pellet. The pellet would go right throw the bird and hit the roof.
But, but and but... You never shoot a pigeon when there is'nt something behind to stop the bullet.
