Yes! Wonderful card... just make sure you have a 6 and 8 PCI-E as it doesn't come with the power adapters(XFX)... most other cards do.

this card is not the replacement for the 5970, it's the replacement for the 5870.

the 5970 is a dual GPU monster, there will be a 6990 coming out which is also a dual gpu and that will be replacing the 5970.

This is bullshit. The GTX 570 is not the better card. The 6970 has more bandwidth and more memory. The 6970 is the better card. Current benchmarks may not reflect this, but you have to keep in mind that the 6970 uses completely new architecture. Current drivers have yet to take advantage of this new architecture. The 6970 also destroys the 570 in high resolutions like 2560 x 1600.

@xXGripenXx Sorry, but you have no clue what you're talking about. The GTX 570 is held back by it's memory not only at 19xx - 12xx resolutions, but even at higher levels with AA enabled. I'm a Nvidia fan & even I had no choice but to realize the 6950 2GB is an all around better deal. Btw, I haven't even mentioned flashing the bios to 6970 & over-clocking it.
