Kelly Clarkson is junk? That girl has actual talent, and Kara has worked with her a lot, not to mention a lot of people. No one brought Britney into this. And actually, Celine's cover of the song has been at least in the Top 20 on Billboard in many countries, if not higher. I don't see why you have to criticize Kara on a personal level, even if you don't think she's talented. Her lips do not discredit her as a judge.

You know I'll give you Clarkson! Humble, talented and a few of the songs are not that bad? Too bad she could not do a duet with Rock legend. That would be cool. As for this Warpig from Westchester NY. Fake tits, lips etc. is the New Age standard of Vanity. Absolute BS! Never looks good!! Vain people just plain suck!! In everyway I can think of; self-esteem, materialistic etc. etc. As for your last question; how about Joplin? no vanity whatsoever!! As for types of music. Some pop? Mostly Rock!

I do agree with you on one point; Kelly doing a duet with a rock legand would be great. She is doing one with Daughtry, I think - He's rock, but not a legend. As far as the vanity thing goes, I don't think there's anyone in the business who doesn't care how they look, including Janis Joplin. You can't make it if you don't look good, sad as that is. And for that last point: Are you one of those people who discredits almost anything as good music except classic rock? Just wondering.

And yea!! most classic rock is better than anything today. Take a look at the arrangements, melody, transfers etc. etc. Rap has ruined the show. You cannot tell me someone like Kanye West is talented. but somehow I know you will. Just like Jackson Pollack is a great painter? If you can't rhyme, write more than two-chord music get out!! oh? what's the term called "sampling"

And I agree with you, a lot of classic rock is better than the music of today, but I also think there ARE some talented current artists(Kanye West is NOT my definition of talent). To say one form of art is "better" than another is like saying red is a better color than blue. You have to look past all the crap and look at masterwork in the genre before making broad statements that discredit entire artforms. For every "great classic rock" piece, there were thousands of other classic rocks songs that flat out sucked. The crappy rap of today will be forgotten, and the memorable things will be classic rap.

And you can't deny the appeal to people. Isn't that what art is for?
