  • ahahaha 1:59 that kid falling lmfao

  • I was in his class but i moved i told evry one ill be back to that school im the same age as him (10) (2008)

  • This kid has amazing form, I've never seen a 9 year old that looks this natural in net. It's now 2 years later though, you should post an update as to how he's doing :)

  • dude ur kid will get far ...realy far trust me i had expirents and no matter wat happens make shure he never gives up and he knows hes # 1 :)

  • man, what do you feed your kid? he's the sickest 9 year old ive ever seen.

  • im am amazed after seeing this. his butterfly and slides and just plain technique is amazing. if he keeps this up he will def. make it to the NHL one day.

  • WOW. he has aweomes technique, the save at 3:29 is amazing. i am a bantam and i'm jealous of his technique. Tell him to take hockey seriously cuz he has a bright future as a goaltender!

  • he is awesome

  • and he is a panther fan ur an awesome goalie

  • that kid isnt normal hes too good wow he rule hope you make it to the nhl good luck all you guys trying!

  • wow what a goalie!!!!!!!

  • I play goal it is true never cut ur frekin goalie stick

  • I play goal and this kid is my hero

  • Ahh..brings back good memories haha

  • I don't play goalie but i have some EXP. At his age there isn't gonna be any topshelf shots so don't worry about that. As long as he can read the shots and practices everyday he'll have a chance in the NHL. Nice pads too. =D

  • If this kid ever does get scored upon (it has to happen someday), Cole is gonna be FURIOUS. Hope he starts the day Lundquist retires... Thanks for the video!

  • good

  • Great video and you have and amzingly talented kid, i play Varsity hockey(goalie). Your kid has skills and one day i plan to watch your kid play pro. Just make sure he loves rthe sport and hes doin it for him not for anyone else and he will do amzing. Good luck kid, best wishes to you. And keep postin ill be watchin!

  • also love the ending bit

  • still cant get over his butterfly the parents should be so proud

  • that kids really good for his age

  • This kid's going to be a star. Great video!

-- I noticed a lot of comments about his stick, and NEVER I repeat NEVER CUT A GOALIE STICK!!

They are meant to be a certain size/weight and cutting them modifies all that it was made for, and I guarantee it will throw Cole's balance off considerably. I work at The Hockey Shop as the Goalie Specialist and if the large stick really does work with him, keep it. But I suggest getting a composite if you keep it large that way he can wield it better

  • Yup, never cut a goalie stick .. composite is always good, or see if you can get a custome stick

  • hah!! omg! i want this kid as my brother! he's like a mini me! in boy form!

    omg this kid is nasty

  • hot like fire Cole, your butterfly, lateral movement and reflexes are sweet. keep supporting him dad and cut his stick a wee bit.

  • The kid's talented!

  • cause you know that wasn't the most coolest thing i have ever seen. i know nothing about goalies but i am guessing thats pretty close to being a very fundamentally sound goaltender. Very good at side to side movement and even though he is about half the size of the net still is positioned good to make the stops. That was great to watch worth every second.

  • Wow, he's a good goalie for his age! Cut the stick for him though. Awesome!

  • good video and good goalie.

  • Good job buddy. Cut the stick for him, it is looking quite big. It may help with his blocker movement.

  • that has nothing to do with it.... if you cut the stick it'll throw the balance whack...

  • wow hes really good

  • i was on honeybaked this year wat age like 97 or 96 or wat?

  • man that kid is really good, and for how far he has to slide remember he only covers like a quarter of the net. good lateral movemetn and for how far he has to go, it will just get easier for him.

  • Your kid is awesome man. I play goal in road and floor hockey and being mobile there is hard enough, I can't even imagine on the ice

  • Wow! he is very good.He moves very well.I dont know how long he has been playing but he seems very advanced for his age.he can skate, challange, slide, butterfly, telescope..very impressive.keep up the good work

  • wow better then my goalie on my hockey team in bantam great Job Cole =D

  • I love it, He is so amazing and is very good at the butterfly, and I love when the kid falls on him he just sits there then your son jumps and like goes what the H*ll are you doing get off of me lol.

  • 20 years...try 9 or 10. You gotta be a proud parent. Great freakin job Cole, very impressive.

  • Wow, this kid really is a prodigy...I've been told that I was one in hockey (I'm a goalie too, going division II because I didn't have enough money to play a junior league) But, your kid sir is definitely a child prodigy. Whats his full name if you don't mind me asking? I'm going to look for him in the NHL drafts in 20 years.

  • kid you should be thinking of a career for your future. have you ever thought of...i dunno ... the NHL! good job. and dad, you should be very proud. nice vid

  • Whoa - I'm a 38-year-old goalie and wish I could move like him!

  • WOW i love his butterfly push!!!

i hope u stay with it ur realy good.

    ps. whats the song called??

  • 2:25-2-32 Crazy

  • even though ur small (i am too) ur still good no matter wat. NEVER GIVE UP!!

  • I have 2 tell you, I played goal thru high school, and for years after in various leagues, but with out a doubt this kid has raw talent! Excellent!

  • wow he moves good from side 2 side u r good kid, really good

  • "Pretty fly (for a white guy)"!

Awesome video and a awesome goalie. Props for the dad who took the time to make this for his son. -b

  • lol hes good but his stick is taller than him =D

  • the little guy is amazing, i saw him play when i was in whitby one time for a game. hes really good. never give up bud.

  • i smell a prodige

  • i'm a goalie too, but i'll have to say that he's better than me. hahaha Nice butterfly..i love it!

  • I wish I could butterfly like this kid. I'm a fantastic stand-up goalie, but my butterfly needs work.

  • omg wow, he has perfect butterfly technique, and some powerful legs to keep the slides up lol that is just amazing! i know players in midget league that wish they could play that well

  • I don't get to see much adult hockey in the UK, let alone kid hockey, but that is so incredibly adorable! Aside from that though, this kid has a great goaltending technique, definitely a keeper.

  • i played goalie since i was 7 im 17 now and man i think your kid is awesome. great skater for 9 years old and that is key to being a goalie. props to your son hes awesome

  • o my god he has like the best butterfly slide!

  • he has a perfect butterfly

  • He's got PERFECT Butterfly slide...and that is a full regulation net, 6x4, right? and you said he was only 9?!?!?!

i'd have him keep at it for a while...Think he could outdo the other Miller in the NHL right now...MAKE SURE HE COMES TO DETROIT THOUGH!!! :)

  • he knows what hes doing lol nice kick save at 1:17

  • very nice! but hes stick is way to big for him

  • Wow! He is amazing he could go far if he stays with it.

  • nice lateral movement...

he has a tiny bit of "stand up" style in his game but as soon as he goes down its like the perfect butterfly...

i loved playing goalie when i was his age

make sure he keeps with it if he loves it

i didn't and now i resort to watching your son on youtube

    haha

  • hes perfected the b-fly slide. very nice.

  • nice movment !!! wish u best

  • what is he, a mite? he's really good

  • very strong skater

i wish i started that young

keep it up little guy; you have a lot going for you

  • nice agility and defenses, you keep on going kiddo!

  • What a talent !

  • He has an amazing amount of talent and with work ethic to fine tune his game to the point where he does not take short cuts (such as the ones listed above that are taught by far too many goalie coaches now a days) could be great.

  • Butterfly good but is sitting back on rear end for a smaller size goalie he has to become more upright to cover more net.

Quit the back door lunges and start using a pivot and push way to quick laterally to be cheating himself by swivelling around on his knees causing his shoulders to be unsquare for possible rebound opportunity.

  • Lots of talent should work on a few things.

  • He is a great goalie.

  • i also play goalie but this kid is sick nasty for 9 years old, he is flat out awesome!!!!

  • Being a goalie myself, I have to say that he comes out and covers the angle very well. He has the right moves! He is very talented and has a lot of potential.

  • i agree i am a goalie too it takes a lot of talent to be in the position that he is in

  • he is a big boss

  • by any chance does he pplaye for the canucks?

  • great talent and such a young kid , great butterfly , i can see him achieve something big

  • at :54 (around there) that rotating thing.... i have no clue what its called but i never used it before i watched this vid. and bud from this vid you saved my shut-out. youre awesome cole thanks

  • at that point wen the kid spins around(id suggest not spinnin but pushin on a angle towards the post instead of turning around and followin the puck)is called a shimmy..i teach at a goalie skewl and ive noticed that about 1 kid per year between tyke and peewee are actually able to do it...i trained wit steve mckichan(sorry bout spelling) and he taught me to shimmy wen i was in tyke..this kid definately has potentiel skillwise almost perfect jus needs sum tuning

  • hes amzing wow!!!!! his butterfly is incredible!

  • Ryan Miller ? :)

  • wow u should be very proud your son is amazing!! i can see him in the NHL oh and by the way im in love with his butterfly....he has a better butterfly than my school's varsity goalie

  • WOW his butterfly is beautiful!!

  • dude, this kid is fucking nasty, he is doing butterflies and moves better than most of my goalie students twice his age. Write his name down and hold onto it. I garuntee you'll see it later.

  • Wow he is amazing. He has that butterfly slide down good.

  • he looks so pro with his butterflys. hes guna be rely good.

  • you son is just just..."amazing!!!" be proud...He is gonna be in NHL!!!!!

  • Bingo Bango Bango Mini Luongo?

  • damn he beat me and im 14!!

Be proud of your son he will play in the NHL. I'll remember his name for sure!

  • ure boy is the next louie

  • oh man! that reminds me of when i used to play rep for hamilton! of course..it was girls hockey so nobody gave a crap lmao. but GREAT VIDEO...if that's Whitby as in, Ontario have you ever heard of the Kenesky Goalie school?

  • Oh ya. Foo Fighters rule. Just like your son!

  • look forward to seeing him in the NHL in the years to come

  • He's outstanding, brings back memories when i was playing organized hockey at that age, lmao....coulda used him in goal!!!!!!

  • he's movement is excellent, hes so small in the net but covers so much so fast, quite impressive, reminds me of a more technical hasek.

  • it must be nice to know that you have a kid who is good enough to skate at such a young age that he can play goalie. good luck to you and him.

  • Great awareness! Just cut that stick down and he's the next Hasek!

  • Thanks we are really proud of him!! There have been some comments recently about the stick length, please go through some of the other posted comments from us, on how to properly size and why the stick should not be cut. icemonster's mom

  • you man ur boy is the next roy

  • I'm pretty sure the stick length should be up to his chin. but i like it a bit lower, mostly how comfortable you are with different lengths. try shorter until it's comfortable

  • What are you talking about!?!?!

    of course...he'll be BETTER!

  • montreal stick ! :) nice job kids your awesome "!!

  • in the futur,he is going to be one talented guy, at his age, he is doing really good, keep it up:)

  • How amazing. He really has some talent.

  • Nice goaltending kid, you got potential. And yes you have perfect form and maybe that stick is a bit too big...rest is all good.

  • whats that song at the end

  • holyeff this kid is better than me and im fricken 12

  • Perfect form. Absolutely perfect form. Keep up the good work.

Though, to be critical, his stick seems to be a bit too big for him. Maybe cut it a bit. He also seems to be prone to gettting run over. Lol.

  • His parents must be so proud of him. Good job!

  • OH MY GOSH this little guy in insane for nine!!when i was 9 it was my first time being in net:P

This guy has got a real future in the NHL or the olympics:D

By the way you should trim his stick a tad it's a tiny bit taller than him:p

    Other wise FREEKIN SWEET GOALIE!

  • hey im sellling a set of pads but there totally covered in puck marks.... anyone know what works well? i heard mr.clean magic pads work well.... anyone else know??

  • This really makes me miss playing Hockey. I must say, if he stay outta trouble when he gets a little older, he has a good future ahead of him!

  • omg. way to be little guy. amazing!

can't wait to see him grow up and be even better.

good luck with hockey for years to come.

  • he's got great positioning , and this is coming froma Jr.A goalie ... its intense how well he moves laterally at 9... keep it up there budd... if he wants to improve get him started with olypic weightlifting in the next 2-3 years.. its builds an amazing foundation for power and explosion... where does he live?

  • Pattrriiccckk

  • The kid really seems to know where the puck's going to be shot. Really good positioning. He could be something big someday.

  • I see potential

  • wow he is great.... best 9 year old i´ve ever seen...good work keep it up little goalie

  • Wow.. Little Luongo right there!
