  • TENERIFE RAVE 1990 ISLAS CANARIAS

  • such a badass tune, Browno strikes again. ;)

  • JEFF MILLS!

  • Ha! Great tune this. Reminds me of Bowlers arouind 1992/93. Used to go mad when the DJ dropped this in. Was reminded of this tune recently thanks to the Profigy sampling it on Warrior's Dance. Sorry Liam and co. but the original kicks ass!

  • Isnt this track on MASH UP MIX 2009 album??

  • yea just saw the add for it.

  • Bar Lanza!!

  • THE PRODIGY-WARRIORS DANCE IS FROM THIS TUNE...WHAT A MESS..and i thought that they made the song:(

  • LOL I used to have this, it was a classic for the Warehouse ,Leeds 1990

  • Coventry 1989-90

    the eclipse

    the tally ho

    reflections

    busters

anmesia house raves.... summer of love....

  • this reminds me of when i was little

  • that's actually the best comment of all. nicely self depricating. well done.

  • ah those were the days. these youngsters nowadays dont have a clue about raving.

    WHAT A TUNE.

  • ur right...i asked many of teenagers whats rave and they asked that they never heard of this in their life.I am srry that the rave is not popular any more!

  • :D i am 13 yr old and i hearing rave from my 11s.

oldskool is best. oldskool 4 ever

  • Ok so no wonder the new Prodigy tune sounded so old skool, they did the old rip + speed up trick. Unfortunately for Prodigy, yet again the original is clearly the best version.

  • btw did they rip the piano riff from something to this? Def heard it in another song or few but not sure where it originated from.

  • Where love lives - Alison Limerick ?

  • That's hot track too but I was looking for something that has the same piano chords in played in same order and manner.

  • I remember now, think it was Kaos - Definition Of Love, the 12" started with this exact paino riff, I've got it somewhere on vinyl from 1989 ! PS checked on You Tube but they only have the 7" which has the riff but only in the middle and not on it's own and it's nowhere near as good as the 12 ".....

  • You're right. I'm a bit mixed on this tune. Obviously a good track but they ripped the piano and IMO after about 1 minute this track kinda "loses the track" producer ran out of time or just wanted to get it released already instead of working it a bit more.

Given these facts I'll say that Prodigy did a decent job on ripping the best bits of what was original here.

  • im workin on a mash up of this with prodigys warriors dance its not going well to be honest lol, but i know exactly what you mean theres something lacking from the original im not entirely sure what? ? . . . its still an amazingly beutiful sound though

  • They did not "rip the piano."

The piano was sequenced on a Korg M1. My mate was the session musician that did the piano riff and the bassline for this tune.

The reason for the poor quality of this tune (and many others back then) was that very few of us actually knew what we were doing at the time.

What mattered most was how the track felt when it was played up loud and you were off ya nut... not how good or technical the producing was.

    Happy daze :)

  • One of my all time fave classics, yes the vinyl copy I have of this tune isn`t great production quality but I really don`t care, I just never tire of it.

    100% quality

  • utter pap - the piano is off definition of love by kaos, so was ripped from that track, and the bassline is underneath the accapella from the original version of take me away on paragon records - this version was a 1990/91 bootleg.

  • Trolled! :P

  • got that paragon version - us import???

  • sounded brilliant played in the morning at an all nighter with about 15 thousand ravers near Oxford - Back In The Day!

  • @iloveesr love the piano and bass such a wicked tune

  • creativity instead of technique

  • @iloveesr and who exactly is your friend the session musician? This was done by Te Final Cut which at this time was Jeff Mills and Asrock aka Tony Srock, I'm pretty good friends with Tony, maybe you know him too since Um..... your friend played on this.

  • What a tune!

  • What a tune!!!!!!!!!!!

Still sounds as good now as it did back in the day!

  • sting on acid

  • Finaly found it! been looking for while, Loving this being sampled by The Prodigy

  • it was called sting on acid on my white label!

  • just dont get em like this anymore, glad the prodigy's sampled it on warriors dance, might clue up some of the kids to proper hardcore

  • fckin classic !

  • anyone know who did the remix of this song . Tempo was slowed down and it had one of the best bass lines somwhere in the middle .

    The bass line was unmistakeable.

    any help would be amazing

love this song and havnet heard it since i was 11. But i must have the bass line again

  • bit more info please, was it a 4/4 beat or a break like this one? should beable to find it for you

  • Not sure i have anu more info then that. The base line would have started after the lyrics, mabye around the 3min mark on this version. There was no lyrics while the bass line was going.

Thanks so much for trying to help out, sorry it took this long to get back to you.

  • man they dont make em like this no more .

    what a spine tingler ...

    BIG TUNE . . . . .

  • Is this "Nexus 21 Re-Construction" or "Pin-Up Remix"?

  • awesome!! thanks!

  • What a bloody tune!!!!

  • Tune!

  • When this track 1st came out on a whitey everyone (at least everyone I knew) called it the Pin Up Girls. But then when it got an official release it was True Faith.

    Anyone know?

  • It was Sweet mercy/Take me away(i think)

  • smart arse

  • O yeah!!!
