I got lucky, I had the chance to pick up a 60" Kuro Pro-141FD just shortly before all their stock was gone. The 141 is a monitor only, it doesn't have speakers or a tuner which isn't an issue since it is hooked to a home threatre system and cable TV. It has some adjustments that the 151 doesn't and it is a few inches thinner. It will be years before anyone produces a TV to match it.

I've seen this TV in action, it's garbage.

Samsung are the best plasma TV's. Very happy with my 50" sammy.

@riffnark You saw bad one. Most experts agree that it will be 5-6 years before any company produces a plasma as good as Pioneer and 10 years before LCD can match it.

@i24kilzz Not from what I have read the Pioneer Elite Kuro is still king. Take a look at Consumer Reports, the leaders in Plasma now are Panasonic and Samsung not Sharp.

Watch out for the Sony GDM and other CRT monitors. They produce better picture quality than the Elite Kuro ;)

I have a KURO PRO-101FD.... I love it so much. If it ever dies, I'll probably end up with a Runco display or projector.

It's really a shame that Pioneer got out of the display market.... They were special.

Your wrong, tv's today have a safety built in them for burn ins. I have a 52 inch pioneer plasma and I sometimes play up to 6 hours of video games in a day(I get bored). Pioneer has a good safety feature for burn ins, plus LCD will never be able to give the quality picture of a pioneer plasma.

The pioneer is the best TV out there Period. But the only thing is the price, if pioneer didn't stop making TV's and put the price down a bit they'd be back at the top. But I guess you gotta pay for the best.

Pioneer is by far the best TV out there you are right. I have a 52 inch pioneer plasma and not a word of a lie when friends come over and a lot of them own LCD's they freak at my picture quality on my pioneer. Only problem is the price. Pionner needs to come back on the market and lower their price.

The problem with this is that there are WAY TOO MANY misinformed people out there who think that LCD does give better picture quality then Plasma. Most of my friends all wanted LCD over plasma until I showed them the differences and showed actual professional reviews of both, now 4 of them ended up with a plasma, made me happy. but yeah LCD outsells plasma.

I don't think it's worth it, as long as it has a good contrast ratio, good response time and good blacks that don't look like dark grey I'm happy.

But I don't need the most accurate blacks or the most accurate colors for that matter (though pretty accurate if possible).

Sharp is a cheaper product!
