brothers and sisters, be diligent in all spiritual things and study to make sure your faith in Christ, Adventism is a prophetic movement, if you not in the language is foreign to you, sad too, that most twisted info people get about us is from ex SDAs, gather knowledge and learn, its good for you:)
Gotta bring clarity, im an SDA, and yes Ellen G White is a prophet, inspired too, on the subject of meat, it refers to those who have grown into the faith n have evidence that meat destroys the body.
@ServiceProcess Please go to any SDA church and tell me when you hear someone say or teach we are saved by works. Also, please quote from one of our official documents that we teach or preach that. If you are so full of the truth, please try to speak it instead of spreading lies. We teach "Sola Scriptura", something that almost every self-proclaimed "Christian" church today has forgotten. Regarding works, please go study your Bible: Mat. 7:16, Jam 2:20, Joh14:15, Rom 3:13, II Tim. 3:16,17 ...
"Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture. ...".
Ellen White's books are not taught as beliefs or doctrine in our church. They are essentially counsels for the last days.
"Those who have received instruction regarding the evils of the use of flesh foods...will not continue to indulge their appetite for food that they know to be unhealthful. God demands that the appetites be cleansed, and that self-denial be practiced in regard to those things which are not good. This is a work that will have to be done before His people can stand before Him a perfected people.
@ServiceProcess You don't know me at all... I've born a Christian/SDA and I'm now 37 years old. I've met many scoffers and people who say they are christians... By the grace of God, I'm still standing and praying for His soon return. You still failed on your quest, simply because you have not presented a single oficial document from our church saying what YOU want them to say... Ellen White was never the leader/founder of our church! Her books are invaluable to us, BUT don't replace the Bible!!!
@ServiceProcess Also, one puzzling thing about critics is that they never want to deal with the Bible and always focus on secondary issues. Please, have you looked at the Bible texts I've mentioned about the relationship between faith and works? That is what truly matters! Do you want to grow in Christ or just want to attack other people's faith? Is that the work of Christ or that of Satan? Please, study the verses I mentioned and let's talk about that!
@ServiceProcess I never escaped the question. The original issue was your claim that we teach Salvation by works. That is the issue. I responded with some Bible texts. You answered with a second attack on the truth. Also, you still fail to grasp the fact that we have never, ever taught that Ellen White's books are doctrine or belief. Ellen White, herself, was against it. So where are the official SDA statements?
@paidosam We'll let the readers be a judge of whether you are evading the issue or not.
On another note. I was an adventist for 30+ years, I know what Ellen White is to the church. You are dishonest in what you say, or ... you don't understand adventism.
Either way, listen. Ellen White is your prophet. Her writing are from God himself.
Answer the statement she made about those who eat meat not being able to enter heaven.
You look rather silly dancing around this one !!!!!
It is good to hear what the younger generation has to say about being Adventist. Personally, it would have been nice if someone had mentioned Christ and the Bible. We are a people founded on the teachings of Christ our Lord and while awaiting His return, we are to be proclaiming His Gospel to all the earth. It is not about simply following the health message or attending church once a week but a daily walk with Christ. That is what being an authentic Adventist means to me as a young adult.
En: We fail in the testimony for things like these. How can we speak about genuineness or being authentic when we are going in opposition to a norm of health promoted by our church, having a cup of coffee (not mattering if it is decaffeinated or not) in the hand? For things like these we fail in our preach of the present true. It`s not a question of being authentic, it`s a question of be more like Jesus and nothing more...
I also found the location of the interview, as well as the free advertising to that "caffeine-delivery" company, a little odd. However, as always, we should "prove all things; hold fast that which is good". I hope and pray that the correct message is conveyed through this particular video. May God bless and keep us all!

Remain Authentic, and BE YOURSELF

I loved this video. Nice and short.
What has Authenticity to do with Adventism though !!!
That made me laugh. What are the adventists trying to claim now.
I take it they CAN drink COFFEE now then !!!
Ha Ha Ha ... it kills me this. Adventists don't know the half of it.
Salvation by Works .... it's going to be a hard slog.

@paidosam Listen. You have never preached 'Sola Scriptura', you've never been able. It's always been Ellen White first and last.
No meat-eaters will be "translated" at Christ's coming
(Ellen G. White. Counsels on Diet and Foods p. 380).
Ha Ha Ha Ha... that's just one quote from your official documents as requested.
Do you eat meat !!! 2 burgers ... no heaven.
That's Works.
Now what.

@ServiceProcess From the official SDA website:

You must be feel pretty silly about now.
Your doctrine is littered with works, so it wasn't exactly
rocket science to come up with some.
I bet you are now a worried meat eater ..

@ServiceProcess You weak person.
You ask me to provide evidence. I do.
So what do you do. You post me something else from the website.
Be a man. Answer the alegation. Ellen White set you in motion for works for salvation. Explain the quotes from her writings.
I've dealt with lots of SDA's, you can't face the truth and I know it.
Save yourself the embarrasement then and leave me alone.
you can't answer the truth stuff.

Quote: Also, please quote from one of our official documents that we teach or preach that. If you are so full of the truth,
Well I did that you clown. and how do you respond.?
You try to change the subject. That's how christian you are.
Seen it all before.
You all talk big and bold. and when the truth hits you in the mouth you
ignore it. That's how honest you are.
Ellen white said what I quoted, and she's your prophet.
You're weak.
