This exercise comes naturally to me even though i didn't try it yet because i have only 1 KB.
KB training builds muscle endurance, hearth strength, conditioning, and much more. Try to do swings or snatches not for reps but for time and you will need a bucket to puke your breakfast. And dont judge the strong man by his looks if you looks at MMA you will see that most of them look like regular mortals. But strong athletes that train every day.
what martial art do you do? MMA doesn't have an emphasis on grappling.. it's simply that if a combat sport allows grappling, grappling and clinch range will become common place in a fight... the simple answer is to stop your opponent from taking a fight into clinch or grappling range is extremely difficult. Chuck Liddell was a master at neutralizing grappling attempts, because he himself was an incredible grappler. Also alot the top level MMA guys come from a grappling background.
ah coordination just takes time maybe the coaching didn't suit the way your personally learn :-) there are alot of great martial artists who said they weren't naturals.. but if your happy just lifting and running, do whatever makes you happy :-)
@mastervehk Dude. Seriously. Everyone can wrestle. Its as natural as climbing and running. Take a couple of BJJ or Judo classes. Be patient. One day you body will go "oh... I get it" and your coordination will go through the roof. I had the same problem in middle school. All I thought I could do was swim and play baseball. It wasn't until college that I started doing judo, capoeira, boxing, and wrestling... Suddenly, I can hang in soccer for no apparent reason. Your mind just needs to wake!
Kettlebells won't make you big and pumped like western style bodybuilding with barbells and plates, kettlebells assist you in developing long lean muscle, strength, flexibility and endurance. I've done Football, Baseball, bodybuilding style weight lifting, triathlons, and martial arts, but none of those can match the fitness levels I've obtained through the kettlebell.
Almost every kettlebell exercise engages literally hundreds of muscles at once. Most expert level kettlebell lifters have profound functional strength without bulky size. This is because the very nature of kettlebell training triggers greater Myofibril density. Myofibrils are contractile organisms within the muscle that are directly related to strength
This video was PERFECT, thanks for taking the time to post it. That thing you did where you put your arm out in front, was a breakthrough for me, after that, this exercise was cake.
I'm going to do that "weightless" preparation step from now on.
I've been incorporating these into my workout for about a month now, but his explanation helps to clean up some of my balance issues. I hate the endless videos you see of rows where the whole body twists to compensate. Short and sweet. Great demo!
Always great instruction and video from Anthony.

troff -- it is the angle at the hip. You can't change your height or the length of the arms.
How would you make the body angle lower.
Logic fail on you troff!
faizalenu 1 year ago
@faizalenu You can prop your feet on something, not that difficult.
fdfdfdfdsss 1 year ago
Doesn't the body angle sort of lose the whole point of the exercise? He's nearly standing! Kettlebell fail!

This helped me quite a bit. It is the finer point as opposed to just demonstrating that create good instruction.

So we're supposed to take lifting advice from somebody who looks like they've never touched a weight in their life?
Alias530 3 years ago
You are without a clue. Looks do not indicate strength, and Anthony is one very strong human (who I've seen lift in person).

And we're supposed to think you know what you're talking about with a dumb comment like that!

why don't you just try this once and see if it's a workout?
